I recently took a 5 day trip through Oman with my wife, accompanied by Ahmed from Sunshine Tours and it was an amazing experience. The tour was extremely well organized from start to finish and Ahmed was a wonderful guide, making us feel comfortable from the very first moment. In just five days we were able to get a truly positive impression of the country and its local culture, largely thanks to Ahmed’s knowledge and warm personality. It was an unforgettable journey, and we’re very grateful for everything he did to make it so special.

I recently had the absolute pleasure of exploring the breathtaking landscapes and rich history of Oman with Sunshine Tours Oman, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! My tour guide, Yahya, was absolutely fantastic! Not only is he a skilled and safe driver, but he's also a wealth of knowledge about Oman's history, culture, and hidden gems. From the moment we started our 5-day private tour, Yahya's warm and welcoming personality made me feel like I was traveling with a friend, rather than a tour guide. He took amazing photos and videos, and knew exactly where to take me to capture the best shots. His knowledge of the places we visited was impressive, and he was always happy to answer any questions I had, no matter how big or small. What really stood out about Yahya was his attention to detail and passion for sharing Oman's beauty. He went above and beyond to ensure I had an amazing experience, recommending local restaurants and cafes, and even taking me to secret spots that I would never have found on my own. Whether we were exploring the stunning landscapes of Jabal Akhdar, visiting ancient forts and castles, or relaxing on the beautiful beach of Muscat, Yahya was always there, guiding me and making sure I had an unforgettable experience. The itinerary was perfectly planned, covering Oman's natural wonders, cultural heritage, and stunning landscapes. Highlights included exploring Muscat's Bimmah Sink Hole, Fins Beach, and Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve; discovering Sur's maritime history and the Wahiba Sands Desert; experiencing Jebel Akhdar's breathtaking views and Nizwa's rich history; and visiting the Grand Canyon of Oman. Yahya's flexibility was a bonus, accommodating changes in the schedule and making sure I had the best experience possible. His local knowledge and expertise made our trip unforgettable. He even dropped me off at my friend's place in Nizwa on the last day, making the transition smooth and hassle-free. I was impressed by Yahya's expertise and knowledge of Oman's history, and culture. He shared fascinating stories and insights about the places we visited, bringing Oman to life in a way that I never thought possible. His enthusiasm was infectious, and I found myself falling more and more in love with this beautiful country with every passing day. The scenery was simply stunning, with dramatic mountains, pristine beach, and lush green valleys. I felt like I was exploring a hidden gem, discovering secrets and experiencing the authentic Oman. Yahya's passion for his country was evident in everything he did, from the way he talked about Oman's history and culture to the way he presented the country's natural beauty. He made me feel proud to be a traveler, and I left Oman feeling like I had truly experienced the real Oman. The accommodations were great, with comfortable hotels. Sunshine Tours Oman took care of everything, from booking the hotels to communicating changes on the plan due to unforeseen circumstances, so I could focus on enjoying the trip. If you're considering a private tour around Oman I highly recommend Sunshine Tours Oman, with Yahya as your guide! 5 stars isn't enough - I'd give them 10 stars if I could! Thank you, Sunshine Tours Oman and Yahya, for an unforgettable adventure in Oman!

My family and I have an enriching trip in Oman. The highlights of our trip are the Grand Canyon and the visits to the villages outside of the capital city. We learnt the rich cultures in each of these villages and enjoyed the rides between places of attractions. This was attributed to our guide, Waled, who is knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you, Waled, for your kindness and warmth hospitality.

  • Great entertainment and experiential tour providing a deeper knowledge and appreciation of Arabic and Muslim cultures

    TomL921,,Oct 11, 2025

Awesome tour especially appreciate our tour guide Hamood Akullaiby. Hamood was a great driver, knowledgeable about all the sites visited and physically capable when necessary (Wadi Shab), extended his goodwill with vendors at the souks securing best prices even arguing on our behalf, and took us to jewels in the rough restaurants serving incredible feasts at a fraction of hotel prices with better food for our tastes. Hamood was very forthcoming with information about his Muslim faith answering our question forthrightly no matter the precept and whether an affront to Western sensibilities. Aside from Hammod, Arabic Oman was a real eye opener in terms of the place, Arabic culture and especially the people, always friendly, helpful and fun especially haggling. I would pay prices higher than I could secure to add a premium for the entertainment value of a transaction. Good to see so many Westerners going to Arabic places like Oman to change what I perceive in the West as negative, to ones more consistent with the realities of the Arabic and Muslim worlds.
