Heads up: This is a self-guided adventure. We give you the route, the gear, the insider tips, and everything you need to explore confidently on your own. No guide in the passenger seat — just you, the open desert, and the freedom to move at your own pace.
This is your chance to actually experience Nevada, not just drive past it.
You’ll navigate epic desert terrain packed with wild history — abandoned mines, insane panoramic viewpoints, Hollywood tragedies, ancient petroglyphs, and rugged backcountry that feels straight out of a movie.
Keep your eyes peeled for desert bighorn sheep, tortoises, and wild burros roaming around like they run the place.
And yes… if you’re a fan of Fallout: New Vegas, you’re in for a treat. We’re talking real-life Mojave exploration near Goodsprings — the town that inspired it all. No promises on spotting Deathclaws… but the terrain definitely feels like you could.
This isn’t a tour.
It’s your own desert campaign.

What To Expect
Attention: The travel time to the trailhead is about 45 min from our office and made note of in the total time. Again, this is our office where we will be meeting guest and preparing them for their adventure in one of our 4x4s
This is the 4x4 trail you will be using to seeing the desert and all of its glory. From distinct wildlife from wild horses and rams to Native American Petroglyphs this trail boasts it all.

5.00We rented a Jeep twice from Jake & Mike - once for the 5hr Off-Road Secrets and again for a trip they put together for us. The Jeeps are great, and they are so accommodating to your needs. For the second rental, I gave them a list of everything I wanted to see and they did a route specific to that list. My only tip would be to learn how to use your maps "offline". I didn't know what I was doing so when we lost cell signal, I lost the routes (both times). Make sure you have all that down before you are in the middle of nowhere! Again - not their fault; entirely my fault. I highly recommend them for your Jeep rental or tours! They know all the great places for sightseeing! We will definitely be back again!

5.00My husband and I had an awesome time. It was just us in the Jeep so we were able to go at our own pace. They guys gave us a google map to download with places to see along the route. The trip took almost the entire 5 hours. They were very nice and took the time to explain everything before we left and we felt for the amount it cost it was well worth it! They only thing I think that can be improved is the actual direction to get to the start of the touring area and in case you lose service maybe a rough map of the area. Other than that I would highly recommend this awesome Self Drive Jeep Adventure!

5.00We had a wonderful day / experience doing this day trip. The vehicle was in top shape and made for a very fun ride for all of us. The cliff overlook to see Las Vegas was in short, special. But of course continuing on to the Pioneer Saloon was the main course. We recommend 100%.

5.00We had a great time. Jacob was very helpful. He went over everything with us. We had great views, it had rained the day before so we had some nice puddles to go through. He told us about the one view where you are on top of the mountain and you get to see down into Vegas. It was breath taking. We will be coming back again. Thank you Jacob.

5.00Ease of service was the best. Rented the jeep and headed on our way. Avoided the storms all around us and had the perfect 5 hours. Saw a wild horse, ate at a fantastic saloon in ghost town, and saw the 7 magic mountains on way back. Views were amazing! Highly recommend this tour company!!
