Our small group tour around Iceland was a dream come true! Lili - both our guide and driver, was outstanding! She knew many local places along the route, in addition to those listed in the tour, that were worth visiting and accommodated group interests wherever possible. She was very friendly and shared tips and knowledge about all the attractions along the way - answering questions from everyone in the group and looking up anything as required. She handled the difficult road conditions with ease - we had some extreme winds and road block after a land slide - and none of this was an issue, as she was a safe and experienced driver. We loved her enthusiasm for guiding and clear and honest discussions about Iceland. The accomodation throughout the trip was most often located at very picturesque sites, with friendly staff and delicious food. In one trip we were able to see puffins, Arctic fox, reindeers, sheep, horses, and mare - it was sensational! The landscape of this country is unbelievable - it’s like visiting another planet each day! You see a lot of the country on this short tour. There are parts worth seeing not on this tour, yet we would still recommend it to anyone looking for a week in Iceland - especially with Lili as your guide. Thanks Lili for making our dream holiday a sensational success!

Lili was our guide on this tour, and she took our trip from “Iceland adventure” to genuinely one of the best travel experiences I’ve had. The itinerary itself was incredible, thanks to the beauty of Iceland. Akureyri, the Eastern Fjords (some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve ever seen from a car window), waterfalls, geothermal areas, lava fields, small Icelandic towns, a glacier hike as an optional extra (one of the coolest things I’ve ever done, worth every euro), and the Golden Circle to finish. But what made it special was Lili. She took us on a “secret” road for even better fjord views, went out of her way for an unscheduled stop so we could see puffins, and skipped the touristy restaurants in favour of local towns and cafes. At every single one, the people there knew her by name and lit up when they saw her. You can’t fake that. It tells you everything about how she works and who she is. The hotels were basic but clean and comfortable. There is a lot of driving, 5+ hours most days, but that’s needed to see everything in just 6 days. If you get the chance to tour with Lili, take it. She made this trip.

My experience with Arctic Adventures was very nice and pleasant . We had a bit rough start to the day on April 2 , 2026 when our bus had a snow accident . After that everything was perfectly good and we covered the entire ring road Vik , Hofn , Egilsstadir , Akureyri , Laugarbakki and then back to Reykjavik . Our driver Adolf was very nice , humble and intellectual . Iceland is one of the most beautiful country on earth and we enjoyed our stay in Iceland . I would love to come Iceland again .

I had a brilliant time, the 6 day ring road trip was really well organised and I got to see a huge range of interesting places, including natural sights, learning about the history and the culture. All of the accommodation was exactly what was needed, clean and comfortable. The food was great and having the evening meals arranged was welcomed after a busy day, the lunch stops gave a great insight into the local way of life. Our guide Solmundur was brilliant, he took care of everything and shared lots of insight to the country.

The tour was absolutely fantastic. The group size of 14 was just right, our guide was superb, with local expertise, and well-judged inputs. We felt secure and in good hands. The local organisation was superb, professional and we stayed in very good, quirky accommodation in amazing locations. We were a group of four (dad and three adult daughters), and all of us were really positive about Arctic Adventures. I would definitely use this company again, when I next visit Iceland.

It was an amazing adventure. We experienced activities as described. In addition, our guide, Frey, shared with us insights on Icelandic life and his personal history in Iceland along the journey. He worked hard to provide us opportunities even when major storms came. We felt safe with him guiding us. Beautiful country and memories.
