Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
The highlight of the trip, no doubt. You will be up early, about 6:00am for breakfast followed by an hour's drive to Bwindi National Park for the early morning briefing by the very experienced and professional park rangers. The park is a natural marvel of sprawling flora and fauna, decorating the steep inclines of the bwindi ranges. Tracking the Gorillas can take anywhere from 2 to even 5 hours but normally lasts no more than 2 hours as the guides are very experienced at knowing where the Gorilla families are. You will come face to face with the Gorillas, and for one spectacular hour of your life, you will have the chance to see a single family of what is only about 1000 magnificent beasts left in the world, as of writing this. The Gorillas are habituated to humans and you will most likely be able to get safely within talking distance. After finishing with the Gorillas, you will return to the park offices and get transferred back to the lodge for lunch. If there is still a lot of day light left, there are other activities you can enjoy like visiting the local pygmy villages, canoe rides and many more
