Between Beijing and Xian, we had 2 very good guides. Beijing (Kevin) and XiAn (Tracy) were both very professional & always keeping us up to date on requirements & managing the timings & impromptu requests very well. Both were knowledgeable and very personable and shared with us generously about China’s history, culture and livelihood.

Beijing tour was fantastic. We saw the major sites, ate good food, and stayed at great hotel. Our tour guide Maggie was terrific. Her English was good and she was knowledgeable about the sites. Maggie was a delight and she always had a smile on her face. She gladly helped me and other group members take photos.

I just got home from my trip and I cannot stop talking about the amazing country of China and the incredible tour. Candy in Beijing and Lily in Xian made my time in the great country most memorable. They were personable, knowledgeable and most professional. They always went out of their way to ensure that our group was having an amazing time. Thank you so much for the great memories.

I am very happy with all the things that I experienced during the tour. All the ancient places we went to are amazingly beautiful and well-preserved. The Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, the Great Wall, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace and the Hutong. I love the added activities with the locals in the hutong, the apartment and the chinese calligraphy shop. John, our guide, was impressive with his knowledge of China's history and culture and made the tour more interesting and enjoyable. Our hotel accommodation is very good and the international breakfast buffet will be unforgettable. I would definitely use the same company if I were to go again to China.

We spent Mon-Thursday on scheduled events with Barry as our tour guide- and Barry also set up a Legend of Kung Fu show for us to see Friday evening and made sure we got off to the airport and all the right places (customs and such) needed at the Beijing airport before we left. It was a great trip- Barry did a fantastic job showing us Beijing, The Great Wall, Summer Palace, Panda Zoo Exhibit, Hutong tours and more. He was very knowledgeable, with a great, but not boring, view of the history of each place we toured. His English was fine and constantly improving as he takes his job very seriously. The driver for the tour (Tao) was also excellent and navigated the crazy Beijing traffic like a boss! Just an excellent trip overall and made that way because of the fantastic job Barry and Tao did taking care of us and making us feel welcome in China! When we had a day to ourself Barry even made sure we were well prepared to travel confidently in the excellent Beijing subway system-and we had a terrific free day at the end of our trip because of that!

This was an amazing experience. The Great Wall of China over 3,500 years old .. wow. Friends recommended this tour company and a private guide who can speak English and a driver - we were certainly not disappointed. Would not have been able to get around all the places we went to without using Travel China Guide Tours. Also English not that widely spoken in China so was a very good decision to go with Travel China Guide Tours. Highly recommend booking from home base before departure. Price was extremely reasonable and hotel accommodation was very good too and included in the price. Tour guide Eddie Liu was very knowledgeable and follow up from Abbey Cheng made us feel comfortable that everything was well planned and organised. When we go back to China we will definitely go with Travel China Guide Tours again.
