Jerash Ruins
Temple of Artemis: Start your journey at the Temple of Artemis, dedicated to the goddess of the hunt, and admire its towering columns and intricate details. Oval Plaza: Step into the heart of Jerash at the Oval Plaza, once a bustling marketplace bustling with life. Imagine chariot races and gladiatorial contests. Cardo Maximus: Walk along the ancient Cardo Maximus, the main north-south artery of Jerash, lined with colonnades and shops. Feel the weight of history beneath your feet. Temple of Zeus: Climb the steps to the imposing Temple of Zeus, the largest sanctuary in Jerash, dedicated to the king of the gods. Be awestruck by its grandeur.
Ajlun Castle (Qala'at ar-Rabad)
History and Significance: Built in 1184 by Saladin's nephew Izz ad-Din Usama, Ajloun Castle served as a strategic lookout point to control the trade routes between Syria and Egypt. Its impressive architecture features towering walls, fortified gates, and 13 hexagonal and round towers, showcasing both military might and architectural skill. The castle witnessed various battles and occupations throughout the centuries, eventually being abandoned in the 19th century before undergoing restoration in the 20th century. What to See and Do: Explore the impressive castle grounds, walking along the defensive walls and climbing the towers for panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and hills. Discover the castle's inner workings, from the main gate and central courtyard to the water channels and cisterns that ensured its self-sufficiency. Visit the small on-site museum to learn more about the castle's history, architectural details, and archaeological finds.
Madaba Mosaic Map
Created around 560 AD, the map is located on the floor of the Church of St. George in Madaba, Jordan. It's the oldest surviving original cartographic depiction of the Holy Land, offering a detailed view of the region from Egypt to Lebanon, including Jerusalem, the Jordan River, and the Dead Sea. The map features not just geographical features but also biblical landmarks like cities, towns, and religious sites, making it a valuable resource for understanding early Christian beliefs and geography. Intricate Detail: The map is crafted from millions of tiny colored tesserae, creating a rich and vivid picture of the region. Unique Perspective: It offers a bird's-eye view of the Holy Land, unlike traditional maps that depict landmasses from the side. Historical Accuracy: Archaeological studies have shown that the map's depiction of cities and landmarks is surprisingly accurate for its time.
Mount Nebo
Then drive to Mt. Nebo, the place where Prophet Moses gazed at the Promised Land before he died. You visit the old monastery and overlook the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, Jericho, and Jerusalem.
Karak Castle
The castle was built by Pagan the Butler and Fulk, King of Jerusalem, between 1142 and 1148. It was later expanded and fortified by various rulers, including the Mamluks and Ottomans. Karak Castle served as a key Crusader stronghold during the Crusades, controlling the trade routes between Syria and Egypt. The castle withstood numerous sieges and attacks throughout its history, including a famous assault by Saladin in 1188. Explore the castle's impressive fortifications, including its massive walls, towers, and gates. Visit the underground chambers and tunnels, where you can learn about the castle's history and defense mechanisms. Enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding city and countryside from the top of the castle. Take a guided tour to learn more about the castle's history and architecture.
Petra
Early visit: Aim to arrive at the Petra Visitor Center before 8:00 AM to avoid crowds and enjoy the cool morning air. Purchase your ticket and grab a breakfast box if needed. Siq Trek: Begin your journey through the Siq, a winding, narrow gorge that leads to the iconic Treasury. Savor the interplay of light and shadow, towering rock formations, and ancient inscriptions. The Treasury: Prepare to be awestruck by the magnificent Treasury, carved into the rose-colored cliffs. Take photos, explore the nearby tombs, and learn about Nabataean architecture. Street of Facades: Continue along the main path, lined with imposing tombs and temples carved into the sandstone cliffs. Explore some interesting ones like the Urn Tomb and the Silk Tomb.
Wadi Rum
Depart from Petra and journey to Wadi Rum, your desert oasis for the night
Wadi Rum Protected Area
Visiting Wadi Rum, also known as the Valley of the Moon, is an experience like no other. Its vast expanses of red sand dunes, towering sandstone cliffs. In the morning, by 4x4 Jeep tour (Optional), you discover canyons, sand dunes, and Nabatean rock inscriptions. Continue for 3.5 hrs to the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea, and check-in at your hotel.
The Baptism Site Of Jesus Christ
The Baptism Site of Jesus Christ, also known as Bethany Beyond the Jordan or Al-Maghtas, is an archaeological World Heritage Site in Jordan. It is located on the east bank of the Jordan River, north of the Dead Sea, and is believed to be the place where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. The site has been venerated as a pilgrimage destination since at least the Byzantine period, and there are many ruins of churches and monasteries from that time. In recent years, archaeological excavations have uncovered even more evidence of early Christian activity at the site, including caves used by hermits and a baptismal pool. The Baptism Site is open to the public and is a popular destination for both Christian pilgrims and tourists. There is a museum on site that tells the story of the baptism of Jesus, and there are also guided tours available.

My family of four visited Jordan for 5 days. We saw everything you could comfortably see in that time with an eight and eleven year old thanks to our driver and guide Adnan Hamdan. It allowed us to focus on enjoying the experience to not have to worry about how or when to move from place to place. His knowledge of all parts of Jordan made it possible for us to plan as we went in some cases and avoid some of the common pitfalls of travel. I give R&H VIP Transportation services my highest recommendation.

I have travelled to over 40 countries, but really had no idea where to start when it came to planning my Jordan vacation as it was super last minute. The only thing I was sure of is that I wanted to visit Petra. Mohammad Ali and the entire R&H team were so incredible with planning everything from A-Z. I had super limited time to organize anything and they helped me create the most life-changing experience! You cannot believe the number of messages I got in response to my instagram stories documenting the entire trip because it was truly incredible. I paid additional to modify and add a few things like a trip to Aqaba to experience diving in the red sea--one of the best decisions I ever made. Mohammad Ali was my organizer and drove with me and I cannot say enough about his professionalism, kindness, patience, and the extent of his connections. He knows some of the best folks in every single place we visited so ensured that I had the ultimate experience with everything. For example, the 4x4 ride in Wadi Rum was the embodiment of this. The driver he booked me with went above and beyond compared to all of the others I saw during our sunset tour. He even made a fire for in the sand before the sunset so I could watch the sunset with a beautiful fire. Folks from other 4x4 rides even came over to sit near our fire! I really can't say enough good things about Mohammad Ali and this entire experience as a world traveller. You will not regret it!

Wow, an experience of a lifetime and if you our lucky enough to get Shadi as your driver you will indeed be blessed. He was an integral part of our trip, he turned up every day on time and car was spotless. He always had water, WiFi and good ac in the car. That’s the formalities, but he made us laugh everyday, told us stories and stories of the history of Jordan and Jordanian culture. He was fully flexible with the itinerary so you could enjoy the holiday at your pace. He brought us to so many other places not on the itinerary such as a water canyon hike and the hot water springs. He was so informative, but also linked us in with expert guides for the big archaeological sites eg Petra and Jerash. Sam guided us through Petra from the back entrance and we did the full one day hike. It was incredible he is a content creator and our pictures are just out of this world. As a woman traveller Shadi treated me like his sister and looked after me so well on this trip I would highly recommend him for any solo female travellers. We will wish Jordan a fond farewell but have memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you Shadi

We were very lucky to have Adnan drive us around Jordan, visiting Jerash, Petra, Wadi Rum and the Dead Sea. Fantastic service by Adnan who was always early, gave us lots of information about the local area and made sure we had all the stops we needed. Very easy booking process and efficient and clear communications at all times. I would highly recommend this company and especially Adnan.

My wife and I had the most incredible time in Jordan and Shadi had a massive part to play in that. On the day we landed, it was my wife’s birthday and I messaged Shadi and asked him to organise a bouquet of roses. Not only did Shadi organise the roses, he bought a bottle of red wine and even sprinkled rose petals on the floor of the car. What a welcome to Jordan!! That really set the tone for us and we cannot recommend this tour highly enough. The historic sites coupled with Shadi’s insight and knowledge made the tour feel unique and personalised. Shadi even had some adhoc activity recommendations that were fantastic. If you are lucky enough to have Shadi as your tour guide, you need to visit the Ma’in hot springs! We can see why it is a personal favourite of his! It is the perfect way to close off the tour. Thank you Shadi for making our first week in Jordan feel like a once in a lifetime adventure. You helped us create memories that will last a lifetime. We cannot recommend this tour highly enough!
