This trip was 18 months in the making and boy did it not disappoint......... It is crazy that 5 weeks have already passed since being back from the most incredible experience in Uganda. Still processing everything that we did on this unbelievable adventure of a lifetime….. It was the most humbling experiences, such a stunning and green country with just the loveliest people you will ever meet, it was one smile after another, day in day out. I am very fortunate that I got to share this unique trip with one of my best mates, @mo_ismaeel, this trip will be talked about for years to come ❤️ On the first day we were up at 5:30am and greeted by Chris with a big smile and a huge welcome, we jumped into our personal jeep for the next 4 days (I love this bloody jeep), we had an unbelievable cross-country drive (7 hrs) riding through small towns and villages and constant views of rolling hills and tea plantations, finally we arrived at the Ugandan Equator, once we had a delicious lunch and all photos were done at the equator, we then moved onto a stunning River Safari in the Kazinga Channel for 2 hrs, sharing the water with big families of Hippopotamus’s 🦛roaming Elephants 🐘 and some relaxing Crocodiles 🐊 along with so many beautiful birds including the stunning Kingfisher. After a long long day we headed to our first lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park, Lake Katwe Lodge had unbelieved views of Lake Edward & Lake Goerge, we just caught sundown, had a stunning meal in the main lodge and then we were bushed and headed to bed. The next day we were up and in our jeep again for 6am and a full day of Land Safari was ahead of us, after a 30 minute search across the plains we were sat next to two old but beautiful Lionesses and then we moved onto the King of the jungle 👑 who was less than 5 meters away, we reluctantly left the Lions and after about a 45 minute search we had the privilege of chilling next to the most stunning Leopard 🐆 who was resting in the long bush after having a bellyful of whatever she caught in the night, we left the Leopardess and went in search for her two young pups who were sleeping in cactus trees, impossible to spot without the expert tracker we had with us on the day. Throughout our trip there were wild Elephants 🐘 dotted all over the place, after our encounters with the big cats we drove for 90 minutes to the Chimpanzee trekking retreat, we were briefed on what to do and expect before a 45 minute trek, once we reached the destination we then we hung out with the Chimpanzees for an hour, for the first 25 minutes they were chilling in the tree canopies but then one after another they came down and walked past us like we were not there, following the Chimpanzees in the jungle, they stopped a couple of times just to have a chill, when our hour with the Chimpanzees was up it seemed like they knew, they lead us back to the bridge we originally crossed to get to them. On our last day we were in the jeep for a 90-minute ride heading to the Gorilla base camp, after a team briefing, we were driven to our starting point of our trek, after walking through a thick and steep jungle we arrived for the main purpose of our trip, we met and sat with the Mountain Gorillas 🦍 ….. oh my days (I am still speechless) It goes without saying you think they are going to be beautiful / stunning creatures but even now, my words cannot do justice to the time that we spent with the Oruzogo family, 2 Silverbacks, 2 mothers, 2 young males, 2 young females and a super cute baby (14 days old). When our hour was up with these stunning beasts, there was no sadness, just an overwhelming feeling of gratitude of being lucky enough to of had this once in a lifetime experience. We headed back to our lodge which was the first rest we had for 4 days, soaking in the sun, the surrounds jungle, maybe a cold beer or two and already reminiscing of the adventure we just had. The ever smiling Chris picked us up the following day at a reasonable time for once (11am) 😁 and dropped us to an airfield so we could make a quick internal flight back to Entebbe, rather than an 8 hour trek in the wonderful jeep, we were packed into a 12 man propeller plane, squashed in like sardines, we were able to see this beautiful country from a Birdseye view, and it really is stunning, not long after 1 hour we landed back to city life, 12 hours later we were already heading home............................. We were in the incredible hands of @nativeafricatours and @chris_sanyu who planned every aspect of this trip to perfection👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽 I cannot recommend this trip of a lifetime highly enough and if you are looking for a trusted, welcoming company to book through, I one million percent recommend that you reach out to Chris @ @nativeafricatours. If any of my post has sparked even the tiniest bit of interest in doing something similar, just do it, you will not regret it one bit. #uganda #mountaingorillas #mountaingorillasofuganda #gorillatrekking #chimpanzee #chimpanzeetrekking #chimpanzeetrekkinguganda #tripofalifetime

Seeing the gorillas has been on my bucket list for a long time so expectations were already very high but thankfully this trip didn’t disappoint. We started booking this trip back in 2023 as the plan was to go in 2024 but unfortunately due to an illness in my family we had to push things back. The team at Native Africa were incredibly understanding and worked with us to rearrange our dates with no fuss. Our guide Chris was quite brilliant, extremely knowledgeable and more importantly a very safe driver, who helped pull together the perfect itinerary for us and then working with the local parks and hotels etc to rearrange things when we had to change the dates. He just organized everything for us which was amazing and made sure we managed to get everything in that we asked for. Honestly one of the best experiences I’ve ever been on and the fact that the Native Africa team managed everything so perfectly meant we got to just relax and enjoy ourselves in the moment. As guides go Chris was exactly what we needed, fun, friendly, experienced and constantly giving us suggestions. Many guides tend to push ‘touristy’ activities as they have deals with the destination but Chris did none of that - it was all about the animals and we stuck exactly to our agreed itinerary. You have to put your trust in people when booking with organisations you don’t know, and I’ll be honest I was a little apprehensive when I made the first payment (would I ever see this money again??) but honestly Native Africa were always responsive, very flexible, working around our needs and quick to give advice on how to make our trip better. Do this trip, it will take your breath away. I can’t recommend Chris and the team at Native Africa more…very professional throughout and made my bucket list trip one I will always remember

Both our safari and gorilla trekking were amazing! My son and I also felt the safety around Uganda, the people were also very friendly and helpful. Im really happy we gave this ago. This is our 2nd time on a safari tour but Uganda experience made it different, weve had natgeo moments 🤭 from lions mating to a mum looking for her cubs - where would you usually see that? Gorilla trekking is a experience of a lifetime seeing the gorilla family 🤩 They made sure the gorillas are safe from tourists which made me appreciate this tour even more

I took a 6 days safari with my girlfriend with Native Africa Tours. The safari was exceptionally good including a visit to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Gorilla trekking and Chimps. The safari went according to the plan. The accommodation facilities were budget friendly and the services were good. I took time to interact with the locals something I love to do on every tour. Moses - the company driver guide was knowledgeable and would sometimes go off the beaten path to meet our extra demands. All can't be said here but I would definitely recommend anyone to do a Uganda tour with this company.

I had 6 days Uganda Gorilla and Wildlife Safari with Native Africa Tour Company. Everything was good from the word go. Chris, the company Consultant was so helpful in planning the Safari. Moses the drive - guide had a vast knowledge of the destinations we went to. The highlights of the tour were mountain gorilla trekking in bwindi park and a game drive in Queen Elizabeth park. Much as I requested for budget lodging, I was offered a mixture of mid-range and budget accomodations. This did not affect my wallet. All can't be said here but I would definitely recommend anyone to travel with the company since there is value for money.

Excellent what they do: I had a 6 days safari with Native Africa Tours in January 2024. Moses - the Consultant was helpful from the time I made my trip request until the end. He helped me book gorilla trekking permits in time and the accommodation facilities had the value for money. The highlight of the safari was a boat cruise at Kazinga Channel - Queen Elizabeth National Park and a night at Mweya Safari Lodge. All can’t be said here but I would recommend anyone to book with Native Africa Tours since they value your money. I can’t wait to be on the trip again.
