Navigate from Puerto Villamil to Los Tuneles. Explore the collapsed lava tunnels, spot blue-footed boobies and brown pelicans. Snorkel at Cabo Rosa and spot Pacific green sea turtles, golden rays, white-tip reef sharks, and Galapagos penguins. Today is all about the ocean wonders.

The Wall of Tears
Start your morning biking to the Wetlands of Isabela and the Wall of Tears. Today, you'll learn about the controversial political history of the islands while spotting giant tortoises on the way.
Las Tintoreras
After a morning of biking, you'll embark on a small boat to have a short ride to the islet. You'll have a 45-minute walk to spot marine iguanas and frigatebirds. Then, you'll snorkel in the calm waters of the bay to spot white-tip reef sharks, colorful fish, and more endemic wildlife.
Santa Cruz Island: Charles Darwin Station, Giant Tortoises Farm and the Twins

Charles Darwin Research Station
Embark on an early-morning boat to Santa Cruz. On your arrival, our staff will meet you and take you to your designated hotel. After a short break, you'll visit the Charles Darwin Station and the Breeding Cente,r where you'll learn all about the efforts to protect this fragile ecosystem.
Rancho Primicias
After a morning of learning, we will head to the highlands of Santa Cruz. You'll visit a Giant Tortoise farm where you'll spot these amazing creatures in their natural habitat. Walk through lava tunnels and visit the Twins: the largest sinkholes of the islands, formed by the collapse of empty underground magma chambers.

Embark on a small boat journey to Pinzón Island, one of the Galápagos’ most remote and untouched islands. Snorkel in crystal-clear waters where sea turtles, reef sharks, rays, and colorful fish glide below you, often joined by playful sea lions. Back on land, you’ll explore the rugged volcanic coastline, keeping an eye out for marine iguanas and Darwin finches, before returning with the feeling of having visited a truly wild corner of the archipelago.

5.00Fabulous 7 day trip to the Galapagos with Takiri Travel! Guides met us every step of the way and connected us with our tour groups. Hotels were lovely and each had a pool! We were given itinararies and, amazingly, experienced everything we could imagine - lots of snorkling, biking, kayaking, hiking and wildlife - blue footed boobies, penguins, tortoises, iguanas...so much! Takiri stayed in contact with the group all week and responded immediately to all questions and requests.

5.00We took a 7 day cruise expedition of the Galapagos onboard Lindblad /National Geographic's catamaran the Delfina. We highly recommend experiencing the Galapagos Islands onboard a small vessel. There were 8 rooms for a total of 16 people. Everything was top notch. Our meals were delicious and we were always offered one or more Ecuadorian specialties in addition to our meal of choice. Each and every member of the crew were congenial and did everything they could to make sure we were having the best experience. The rooms were roomy and serviced several times each day. We wanted for nothing because there was always a crew member available to help in any way they could. The number of animals/birds we encountered was everything we had hoped for. Our expedition leader Christian and his counter part Omar (who was the photography expert) imparted their knowledge and love of the islands with enthusiasm. The weather was in the mid 70's everyday and only one day did we have to deviate from our planned itinerary due to slightly rougher seas. Our only additional comment to anyone wanting to experience the Galapagos Islands is to go before your knees start giving you problems. Everyday you will get on and off Zodiacs at least 4 times. Sometimes wet landings on a beach and sometimes dry landings on land. There were always crew members helping you on and off the Zodiacs but it is still a big step down into the raft.

5.00This was an amazing experience! Commutation with Takiri was very easy and everything was organized so well and all went so smoothly. When our flight was delayed, causing us to lose one day in Isabela, the agency rearranged the whole schedule on the fly, so we didn’t miss any of the activities. We were very impressed how they went out of their way to make this trip enjoyable for us. The guides were all knowledgeable, fun and exceptionally kind. Alex, Manuel, Diana, and Xavier from Isabela, and Enrique and Edwin from Santa Cruz, as well as our driver Andreas all made us feel like a family. The activities were wonderful and we managed to see so much wildlife! We have wonderful memories of our Galapagos trip.

5.00We are two couples friends that travel together, we decided to travel to Galapsgos and contacted Takiri travel and talked eith Alex. We explained our interest in spending a week in the Galapagos and explained what we wanted to see, our age, and the composition of our group. Alex planned a 7-day trip for us, taking into account our opinions and making suggestions based on that and the characteristics of the Galapagos. We accepted and set off. I can say that the plan was excellent; it made the experience wonderful and unforgettable. We have traveled many times around the world, and this was one of the best we've had. I warmly recommend Takiri Travel as a service provider in the Galapagos.

5.00We are very happy we chose a land-based trip to the Galapagos. Not only was it much cheaper than a cruise, but I believe we got a better feel for the people of the islands. It was great having transportation and activities arranged for us. All the guides were knowledgeable, helpful, and super nice. We enjoyed doing things with different people each time, and it was fun that some activities were just us. We also had lots of free time in the afternoon/evenings to explore the towns on our own, eating local food. We lucked out and were there for the tree-lighting ceremony on Isabela. All in all we highly recommend.

5.00The Galapagos is a must visit place if you love nature and wildlife! The tour with takiri was amazing and we did so many incredible activities during the trip. The hotels were of a good standard and the restaurants were nice with plenty of options. The trip was really well organized and a nice pace with plenty of activities planned but also enough time to relax. We travelled during late July and August and the weather was really nice, not too hot and not too cold. The sea is cold this time of year so would recommend using a wet suit if you go at similar times. It is a good time to visit though as you have a good chance to see Whales and the sharks come to warm up in the shallow water so great snorkeling! All in all a really great trip that was excellent value for money!

During our trip, each of our guides was knowledgeable and friendly - we had so many standout experiences it’s hard to pick just one, but swimming with the sharks was definitely a highlight! Wildlife galore and the variety of activities was fantastic. Alex was so responsive to any and all questions we had throughout the trip. We wouldn’t hesitate to book through Takiri again. Thanks again for an amazing trip!

5.00My friend and I booked this 4 months before leaving- and we couldn't have made a better choice. The food was delicious, the tour guides spoke English l, the tour groups were small (some were even 1 on 1) and most importantly - we were taken care of from the moment we landed on Baltra to the moment we were leaving Baltra one week later. Our name was on the top of every excursion list every day, our rides were always on time, our travel agent (Alex) was responsive, attentive, caring and even showed up at our door to say goodbye. To have someone always ready and waiting for us before and after each excursion put us at ease. We did not have to worry about anything. We did suggest that they adjust their itinerary slightly for future travelers and Alex happily took it into consideration.

5.00Our trip to the Galapagos was awesome and affordable. We traveled independently (not as a tour package) and stayed in fairly inexpensive, but nice, accommodations. The 3 towns we stayed in were all different from each other and were great to visit. The locals were very accommodating and friendly. Went on 2 snorkel trips that were a great experience. Snorkeled with sea turtles, penguins, sharks, and marine iguanas.. Great trip!!
