Arusha National Park, ideally located in northern Tanzania, offers a variety of activities due to its diverse geography. Visitors can explore Mount Meru, Momella Lakes, and savanna plains, and it is one of the few places where walking safaris are allowed. Accompanied by an armed ranger, you'll learn about the area's wildlife and history. A visit to the Ngurdoto Museum can provide insights into human-wildlife conflict. A short 1.5-hour bush walk followed by a Land Cruiser safari offers amazing wildlife encounters. You'll walk through savanna plains, spotting giraffes, bushbuck antelopes, buffalo, and warthogs at close range. After the walk, a drive to Momella Lakes reveals large colonies of flamingos, along with hornbills, ibises, pelicans, and vultures. The serene views make it an ideal lunch spot!

On your second day in Tarangire National Park, your Altezza guide will take you to new sections of the park. You'll encounter stunning views and a variety of African wildlife, including rare species like long-necked gerenuks and oryx, which are not typically found in the Serengeti. Tarangire is also home to hyraxes, small and amusing creatures closely related to elephants. They allow visitors to get quite close for photos, but remember to avoid touching the wildlife. Bird enthusiasts will be thrilled with over 550 bird species in the park. Our car is equipped with high-resolution binoculars to enhance your bird-watching experience.

Ngorongoro Crater
The legendary Ngorongoro Crater! Here you will witness tens of thousands of wild animals living in the massive crater left by a huge ancient volcano. The actual crater is relatively small, when you consider that it is home to the most variety of animals per square meter than anywhere else in the world! Here, you are sure to see a great number of animals within close proximity to one another. The descent into the crater will take about half an hour of driving. The road passes through beautiful, lush forests with great scenery. After your morning game drive around the crater, you will stop at the picnic area next to Lake Magadi for a snack and rest. One of the draws of Lake Magadi are the hippos that live in the area. You’re sure to enjoy watching them while you eat lunch. Due to the large number of animals and endemic plants, Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and renowned for its natural significance in the world.

After breakfast, you will start the safari by being transferred to the central part of the Serengeti, known as Seronera. Here, your driver will try to find the animals you're most interested in. Closer to lunchtime, you can visit the Serengeti Visitor Center, where you will be offered a lunchbox and provided with lots of interesting information not only about the animals’ populations but also about the history of the National Park. Also, in this area you will be able to see hyraxes, which are the elephant's closest relatives. Alternatively, we also recommend getting back to your camp for a quick lunch and nap before restarting the safari before sunset to enjoy the golden hour. Serengeti wildlife numbers in thousands: elephants, buffalo, ostriches, giraffes, jackals, hyenas, lions, antelopes, leopards, and cheetahs—just keep your eyes peeled and enjoy the nature around you.

Today is your final day in central Serengeti. Each day in the savannah brings new and exciting experiences. The lazy lions of yesterday might be on the prowl, and curious elephants may approach. You might even spot a cheetah atop your safari car! This is also a great opportunity to see the famous Kopjes—picturesque volcanic rock formations that provide excellent photo opportunities as animals rest in their shade. Don't miss Simba Rock, the real-life inspiration for the iconic scene in "The Lion King" where Mufasa presents baby Simba. See the very rock that inspired the beloved cartoon!

Another day to enjoy the vast plains of Serengeti! This park is a huge space, brimming with life. It is impossible to view it all in one day; today, your guide will show you new places and interesting animals, so that you can get a full perspective. The Serengeti is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, chosen because of its important ecosystem, the dense population of animals, and the annual Great Migration. Serengeti was the inspiration for Disney’s “Lion King” feature film, but life here is not a cartoon—it is pure, wild, and beautiful. 5.00Our experience with Altezza Travel was simply excellent! Truly a 5-star safari from start to finish. Everything was perfectly organized and the entire trip exceeded our expectations. Our guide, Khalid, was fantastic: very friendly, always punctual, and extremely knowledgeable about the animals and the environment. Thanks to him we not only saw a huge number of animals, but we also learned a lot throughout the safari. He also shared many interesting things about the culture in Tanzania, which made the experience even more special. He made every moment enjoyable and interesting. We would also like to give a special thank you to Victoria and Kate for the excellent organization from even before the trip started. They were always very kind and responsive when answering our questions and made sure everything was perfectly arranged for our safari. During the trip, the Altezza team also kept checking in to see how we were doing, which we really appreciated. Another detail we really appreciated was that the safari vehicle was always impeccable — very clean, comfortable, and perfectly prepared for each day of the trip. The lodges and hotels selected for us were also excellent: very comfortable, well located, and with fantastic service. They were the perfect places to relax after each day of exploring. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience. We saw so many animals and enjoyed every moment. We would absolutely recommend Altezza Travel to anyone looking for a truly special and well-organized safari.

5.00I have never cried leaving a country, but I did on leaving Tanzania. The level on love I felt from the people can only be matched to what I receive from my immediate family. Altezza, oh what can I say about Altezza. I want my children to be delivered in Altezza hospitals, I want to buy Altezza clothes, I want to eat Altezza food. This may seem funny but here's what I mean. The level on excellence, professionalism and care I received from from Altezza and every single person associated with them was out of this world, literally! I have never known a company to operate in this sphere distinction. I have no recommendations for improvement, and I have no choice but to book with them again, and again and again..matter of fact I want to do a standing order from my salary for future trips with Altezza!

If you are looking for the gold standard of safari experiences in Tanzania, look no further. We were a group of eight traveling in two vehicles. Rahim was the personal guide for our car, and he was, quite simply, world-class. Here is why they stand out: Expert Wildlife Spotting: Rahim’s knowledge is staggering. He didn't just find the "Big Five"—including elusive rhinos, leopards, and cheetahs—but he was also an expert at identifying the diverse birdlife and smaller details of the ecosystem. Respect for Nature: One of the things we appreciated most was their ethics. While they went above and beyond to ensure we saw everything possible, they remained deeply respectful of the animals and the environment at all times. Safety & Professionalism: Tanzanian park roads can be notoriously difficult, but Rahim and Anold were extremely careful drivers. They were incredibly prompt every morning and navigated the rough terrain so smoothly that we always felt safe and comfortable. Personalized Experience: They truly cared about our enjoyment. Whether it was focusing on specific birds we were interested in or making sure we reached our destinations on time and in good spirits, their hospitality was unmatched. 5.00What an amazing adventure! My wife and I booked a safari through several Tanzania parks with Altezza. From the moment I contacted Altezza, the communication with our agent, Maria, was exceptional. She customized our trip with upgrades in our lodging, adding an early check in on arrival, and arranging for transfers between locations including a flight. She also communicated supplemental information - what to pack, obtaining a visa, guidance on tipping. Her communication lessened my anxiety going into the experience. We had several different drivers that transported us between locations. They were always on time. Their vehicles always had water. The level of professionalism was top notch. Our guide, Rahim, was outstanding! He had extensive knowledge on Tanzania, the parks, and of course all the animals we saw! He was very respectful in sharing information (and not over sharing), allowing us ample time to see the animals, and of course always being on time. The vehicle had Wifi, cleaning wipes, and bottled water for every game drive. Lunches were provided on the game drives, which were very well prepared. Rahim was very professional in his attitude and always had a ready smile along with great energy. He really enhanced the safari experience! We stayed at four different locations throughout our safari - Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge, Ngorongro Serena Safari Lodge, Lake Masek Tented Lodge, and Karibu Serengeti Woodlands Camp. They were all wonderful! The views, the choice and quality of food, the animals wandering into the lodging area - what an experience! Throughout our trip, Altezza contacted us through What's App, letting us know in advance about our pickups and confirming the itinerary they had sent out. They checked in a few times to ensure a smooth trip, and it felt like they cared that we were having a great time. They had a great balance of checking in without harassing us. Altezza really made this vacation the best it could be! I would recommend to anyone!

5.00Cathbert was an absolutely incredible safari guide with so much knowledge of all species in the Safari parks whether that be animals, birds, trees or insects! Cathbert was a really careful and diligent driver and I would highly recommend going with Altezza Travel as everything was so well organised and the trip was so easy to take. The accommodation was exceedingly welcoming with delicious food and comfortable rooms to stay in. We saw the most phenomenal sites and Cathbert was a legendary driver who made sure that we experienced everything that we hoped for. At the beginning of our trip he said that he wanted to "make our dreams come true" and he succeeded in this to no chagrin. I would book with Altezza again in a heartbeat and would be honoured to be guided by Cathbert.

5.00We did a seven day safari visiting Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti. Altezza organised everything and I cannot speak highly enough of the whole experience. In the planning stages, Alina was very responsive and helpful with every aspect of our trip. Once in Tanzania, our guide Cuthbert was amazing. He had an encyclopaedic knowledge of animals, birds, landscapes and people of Tanzania. He found all the big 5 for us and his driving skills to get a good view for us were impressive. We had such a fun time with him. I highly recommend Cuthbert as a guide. The support team on WhatsApp was great and also very responsive. All the accommodations were stayed in were fabulous. Very clean, excellent food and service and lovely staff. Our trip to Tanzania is one of the best things we have ever done and Altezza made everything go very smoothly.
