What To Expect
Damajagua Waterfalls
We offer a time of hiking through thick forests, crossing bridges and discovering the Dominican flora, before reaching the rocky top of a hill from where you will begin your journey down, jumping or sliding down a series of waterfalls. Safety gear is a must as you slide down padded water slides, or jump into deep turquoise pools. The way from the tour station to the waterfalls is 40 minutes, we offer a tour of the 7 main puddles so that they have an unforgettable and not so exhausting experience, children must be 8 years old or older to be able to do those 7 puddles of otherwise they could only walk the 40 minutes and stay in the first.

5.00The communication before the trip was excellent. We found the taxi driver without any difficulty and Casper stayed with us the whole day. He was great! The waterfall experience was so fun. We just wish we could havw done it again! Moreno was the best guide and saved my daughter’s phone when her waterproof case got a hole in it during the first slide.

5.00The hike and the waterfalls were incredible! Aribel was a great driver and the guides on the water were amazing! The hike had stood so people could hydrate on the way. I will recommend to bring your own water shoes/durable sneakers that you’re fine getting wet because the shoes you can rent there are very thin and the hike is all over rocky trails. I also brought a dress to change into after and it was a great idea for the car ride back. The local food that we had was sooo yummy! Again, Aribel was so great, we would highly recommend him as a driver/tour guide!

5.00My first time booking outside of westjet/nexus tours and I have to say I am impressed. Booking was easy and I received a time confirmation the night before via whats app from the tour guide Aribel. Upon pick up hubby and I were pleasantly surprised to find a smaller van with one other couple to go with us, we have always been used to huge tour buses and groups. Aribel was welcoming, friendly and funny the entire time. The excursion itself was very fun. Not a strenuous hike but actually enjoyable, the falls are beautiful and bonus to have a personal photographer for $55 USD with 80 plus photos on a usb drive so no worries there. Also, a locker was provided by Aribel. The Local lunch was the best food we've had during our stay. I would totally book with Viator again.

5.00A nice combination of hiking and waterfall sliding/ jumping to get back. Make sure you bring water shoes as you walk through a lot of small rocks. Yeuri our driver picked us up in a fairly new van and took us to the falls, lunch, and back to the ship. Friendly and safe driver.

5.00Perfect day filled with adventure - easy pick up from the cruise port, jungle hike and natural slides down the river, delicious local lunch and drop off back to our ship with plenty of time to get back on board. Aribel was an excellent driver and tour guide!

4.00It is a fabulous experience and a must do. The nature is stunning, the guides are friendly but they are working for a tip and it is a bit off putting. And it is a short trip for the amount t of money you pay.

4.00Great activity taking you to beautiful spots and engaging you in fun activities. Traveler should have some comfort making tough hike up hill and stairs and sliding down natural water slides and swimming in both deep and shallow water. Local guides are good. Dont take valuables or breakables on hike portion of trip.

5.00It’s definitely a hike up a mountain. Just when I thought I didn’t want to go further….we reached the top and started to head to the waterfall. Our driver was fantastic, he was attentive and even bought out drinks at lunch. The food was delicious and 100% worth it.

5.00Although our excursion was 1 hour later than we had booked, it all turned out great!! We loved the waterfall excursion. But it was our taxi driver who went above and beyond to give us a true Dominican Republic experience! He was the best!! He was awesome and gave us a better experience than I expected. Thank you!!
