We booked with Bamboo Ecotours and got exactly what we wanted. Edison was fantastic in assisting us to get our exact tour. Our driver/guide was Herbert and he was outstanding. We got a customized tour of Uganda with treks to Chimpanzees, Gorillas and Golden Monkeys along with the national parks Bwindi and Kibale, and Murchison Falls with a day boat cruise. We stayed in really nice resort type hotels and had some great meals which were included. We came into Entebbe and ended in Kigali, Rwanda. Herbert handled all the boarder crossings and was an excellent driver. We highly recommend Bamboo Ecotours for your adventure!

Visiting the Gorillas in Rwanda was a bucket-list item for us. Absolutely magical experience. Edison from Bamboo Ecotours communicated exceptionally well and made us feel at ease right from the start. The entire trip went smoothly. The vehicle was super comfortable as were the hotels. Highly recommended!

I recently travels to Rwanda and Uganda with Bamboo eco. I decided to do this trip sort of last minute (in March) and had never planned my own travel prior to this trip. Edison made this planning so easy- I gave him a list of things I wanted to do- including two gorilla treks (one I Rwanda and one in Uganda) and he was able to quickly develop a great itinerary. He was flexible and patient as I had changes along the way and he handle it all very smoothly. My guide was Chance and he was excellent! He was always on time and willing to stop whenever I asked for pictures etc. Chance also improved my experience by stopping along the way for different food experiences (like Rolex!) and an added bonus- he knew every bird we saw along the way! I appreciated his friendliness and care and it didn’t feel like I was traveling solo! The trip was also a good combination of busy and then some relaxed hours sprinkled in- which I appreciated! I highly recommend Bamboo Eco!

I was a solo female traveller and it was my first time in Africa. I always want to do the gorilla trekking but this trip amazed way beyond my expectation. Edison is very helpful and responds swiftly. I had a car by myself and my guide John is amazing. Not only taking care of the whole trip, he also brought me closer to the local community and culture. The sceneries in Uganda is incredible, so are the people. I would definitely recommend the trip.

Starting in Kigali our guide Fred took us on a magical adventure to see Mountain Gorillas, the big 5 (we saw elephants, a lion, a leopard, buffaloes and rhinos), Chimpanzees, Golden Monkeys and many many more animals. We were stunned by the breathtaking landscapes changing from tropical mountain highlands to savannah plains to rainforest to Lake Victoria. We could try and see the manufacturing of banana beer and coffee. Staying in luxurious and authentic hotels and being driven around we felt as appreciated as the Ugandan kings. As cherry on this opulent cake our idea to visit Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary was taken up and organized by Fred before we even asked him. Oh, and not to forget, our delayed luggage was taken up and driven up hundreds of miles just to deliver it to us! Many thanks for this incredible experience and special thanks to Fred for his patience, interesting stories, insights about everyday Ugandan/Rwandan life - the best guide you could wish for! Highly recommended!!!

We chose Bamboo Ecotours for our 8 day Uganda trip and never regretted it. The whole organisation of the itinerary and the complete service we received throughout the trip were excellent. We felt very delighted, because all our wishes were accommodated by Fred, although some of them were not part of the schedule. We enjoyed every single day in Fred‘s company and learned a lot of interesting facts about the history, culture and habits of the local people. Due to the rainy season, driving was a challenging task, but we always felt safe and sheltered. By the end of our journey we found a friend and not only a partner, who was doing his job. We experienced a wonderful trip, which we will never forget and will come back again. Thank you, Fred, Edison, for offering us an one of kind experience in your beautiful country!

This was my first solo trip as a female traveler and I had the time of my life traveling with Bamboo Ecotours in Rwanda. I first contacted Edision who was patient with my endless questions and changes as we planned the perfect trip for me. Godfrey was my outstanding tour guide. I learned so much about Rwanda, Uganda and East African culture from him. He was fun to be with, extremely thoughtful and went above and beyond to ensure that my trip was as fabulous as it was. I felt super safe and well taken care of. Rwanda itself is AMAZING! I saw the Big 5 in Akagera, had a fabulous Gorilla and Chimpanzee trekking experience, went on the canopy walk, had a great tour of Kigali including the Nyamata Church and Kimironko market. Godfrey speaks perfect Kinyarwanda and it was delightful to shop in the local markets with his help. I highly recommend Bamboo Ecotours and Godfrey especially as a tour guide,
