Breakfast at the hotel. Discover Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. First, we will visit the big national history museum. 1.5-hours guided tour there. Then, we continue to the city center for 2-hours guided walking city tour, which includes all of the major sites: Saint Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Saint Sofia Basilica, the Parliament, the old Royal Residence, the national Theater, the Largo complex, the Roman remains, the old baths, the court. Day Trip to Rila Monastery and Boyana Church

Breakfast at the hotel. Day trip to Rila Monastery and Boyana Church – UNESCO heritage sites. The first stop will be at the Boyana church, famous for its amazing frescoes, dating back to 1259 – a unique example of the Bulgarian renaissance. The church is rather small and it is allowed to be entered only for 10 minutes inside. The rest of the visit will be outside.

Rila Monastery

Next, we continue to the Rila Moanstery - the biggest and most famous Bulgarian one. It is about 2 hours drive from Sofia. There, we will have about 1-hour guided tour in the monastery and in its history museum. After that, 2 hours free time for photos, to check the souvenir shops and to have a lunch break in a restaurant near the monastery. The expected return in Sofia is at 18:00.

Sofia – Asen`s fotress – Bachkovo Monastery – Plovdiv
