Stage 2 of our Beijing-Xian-Shanghai trip has come to an end and we have been very impressed. Our tour guide, Celine, has been exceptionally helpful and very well informed. She has made our stay in Xi’An very enjoyable.

Tracy, our guide was very informative, punctual, and friendly. She gave us strategies on how to best experience the highlights of Xi'an including navigating the Terracotta Warriors, Goose Pagoda, ancient City Wall, and Muslim Bazaar. Lunch at the restaurant just outside the Terracotta Warriors was mediocre and not good value. However, dinner feasting along the Great Tang All Day Mall was filled with an economical variety of flavours and textures making it a very worthwhile experience, albeit crowded. We stayed at the Wyndham Grand in South Xi'an which was conveniently located next to the Great Tang All Day Mall and a short stroll to the Goose Pagoda. The 25 m x 10 m pool at the hotel, located in another building though connected indoors, was clean and quiet.

I feel I need to write a short review about travelchinaguide.com. Especially the lady I worked with, for over a year, planning my trip. Amy and the company are 2nd to none. Amy guided me through the planning and made it very simple. I never once felt I didn’t understand anything. She even helped me set up a Chinese social media account so we could speak to her directly, instead of going back and forth on email. This also came afore when I met up with the guides. Amy’s planning whether its was guides; trains; flights or hotels, Worked out 100% on the actual trip. She even got involved when I had a hotel room issue. Through the guide they got it sorted. Thank you Amy and I hope to work with you again in the future. If any person is looking for a great company and a fantastic rep, it is travelchinaguide.com.

This was my second time using Jackie and he was awesome. From start to finish he is giving you all sorts of cool knowledge in Xi’an. Then his knowledge is top notch at the Terracotta Warriors. Ask for Jackie when getting a tour.

Lily was our guide for our trip in Xi’an, China. She took us to see the pagoda and the terracotta warriors. She is very knowledgeable about history and explained everything in detail to us and in an interesting way for the kids. She recommended us an excellent restaurant where we were able to eat local delicacies such as the famous biang biang noodles, duck and pork ribs. We had an excellent day thanks to Lily and driver from Travel China Guide. Thank You!!
