  I recently traveled to Danakil,Lalibela and Omo valley with the Danakil Depression Tours team, and it was a truly memorable experience. Addis impressed me with its vibrant blend of history and modern life, while Lalibela timeless Roch hewn hurches left me in awe. Danakil with its colorful culture and majestic sulfur ,volcano was the perfect finale to the journey. I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to our instructor and team leader, Mickey whose dedication, patience, and excellent leadership made the entire trip smooth, enjoyable, and well-coordinated. His guidance added immense value to every moment of the tour. My sincere thanks also go to Danakil Depression Tours for their outstanding programming and travel coordination. The arrangements were thoughtful, seamless, and truly elevated the whole experience.

  Very informative and amazingly well planned tour. Mickey is such a bright and knowledgeable person who has so much to share about yohans and his experience of the place over the years. The twinkle in his eyes showed her passion and perseverance to break away from life's struggles and stand out in the crowd. Her interactions with everyone around yohans as we walked past alleys and narrow lanes, displayed her amazing rapport and camaraderie with the community. Infectious was her smile and fun way to throw in trivia about yohans that kept us going in the the sweltering heat of a 38°C hot and humid day in danakil . Mickey and shine Yohanse and thank you for sharing your life, your knowledge, your people and your place with us.

  Danakil Depression Tours is a highly recommended travel agency. Through them, I traveled for 18 days in Ethiopia, visiting, in addition to Addis Ababa, the historic cities of the north, the Omo Valley, Harar, and even the Danakil Depression—the latter for four days, booked through Danakil Depression Tours. Mickey, the company manager, designed an itinerary, which initially did not include Danakil, based on my expressed interests, adapting it to the new circumstances that arose. Thus, when the road trip between Lalibela and Mekele had to be canceled due to a conflict between the army and Amhara civilians, the problem was quickly resolved with a flight connection between the two cities. I had to make a three-hour layover in Axum, a city I had already visited, but I met the company reValley,Mickey who accompanied me for the last week of the trip, realized that he had included a stage (from Awassa to Harar) that was too long near the end of the trip. So he reworked the itinerary, which naturally involved changing the hotel plans. When the hotel changes were made, it was always to accommodate me in a higher-category hotel than planned, without any price increase. I always had internet access, except for the days I was in the Danakil Depression, and I never felt unsafe, despite knowing of problems that had occurred, both in the Afar region, where Danakil is located, and in other regions.presentative at the airport, who took me back to the city, where I was able to visit two interesting weekly markets and have lunch at a restaurant. Later, in the Omo The drivers and guides were excellent, especially those who stayed with me the longest: drivers fentay and gashaw and guide Mulé. I always felt like I was being treated like family. Although I already had high expectations based on my reading about this country, I can say they were exceeded, largely due to the excellent service provided by this company. Comparing the cost of the trip with prices charged by other agencies, I can also say that the quality-price ratio is quite good. Ethiopia is a country worth visiting for its natural beauty, the multifaceted richness of its culture, and the friendliness of its people. Current material progress can have short-term negative implications for the natural and cultural landscape. Therefore, anyone interested in exploring this country should visit immediately .Danakil Depression Tours can provide an excellent experience for anyone interested

  My family and I took a tour to Lalibela, danakil and o.o valley where we saw the incredible Omo valley ,Danakil is a wonderful tour company. Mickey and Gech who run the company from Addis are professional and prompt in their responses. They arranged everything efficiently and were very easy to get in touch with. All the tour guides at each of the spots--Lidetu (Lalibela), Danakil (Gech) and Omo Valley (Thomas) were informative, kind and very helpful. The cars were clean and comfortable. The drivers safe and trustworthy. Our journey went very smoothly and we loved every moment. I would recommend them to anyone traveling in Ethiopia. And I can't wait to use them again for future travels.

  Took a trip through the North and South of ethiopia , Mickey and his team were outstanding, from arranging tour guides and transport vehicles in lalibela ,danakil and omo valley to arranging accommodation in each of the cities, drop-offs, pickups from airports, and making sure we were seen to throughout our holiday. I have no hesitation in recommending this tour company. They were punctual, the drivers and guides where knowledgeable – spoke english, we did not have a day where we were left stranded. We embarked on a tailor made tour, just 3 friends, and every place we wanted to include was included, Mickey was available throughout the process - handled changes, made sure we were getting the best experience. Should I ever return to ethiopia, I will undoubtedly use Danakil Depression Tourd again, they surpassed my expectations, their pricing was reasonable (Given that we travelled during the peak season) ❤️1

  Just completed a 10 day tour with danakil depression tours and it was the best experience. It was our first time in Ethiopia and mickey ensured that everything went smoothly. He accomdated all my requests patiently. We started in addis ababa, then danakil depression,lalibela and omo valley . The hotels were good and the tour guides were great. It was so good to have someone who has knowledge about the cities. Our driver melaku Singh was amazing and we felt safe with him. He did the most driving around with us and was very accommodating. We then went to Mumbai and our tour guide, haile Jain was great and so patient. Our driver mekeru was also patient while they wait in the cars in the heat. haile did an amazing job and I highly recommend them.

  We went to Ethiopia with Danakil Depression Tours on June 17 the & the trip was excellent!!! As it was our first flight experience we were very much excited😃 at the same time little bit nervous🥶 too. Mr daniel , our tour manager did a very good job in coordinating the trip.He lead our team in an excellent manner. He did everything well that we were very much satisfied😊. daniel was very helpful, the whole trip went soo smooth as he perfectly organised the whole trip with a lot of effort and determination. We were pleasantly surprised & relaxed to have everything arranged, especially the food part. Our tour manager Daniel need to be complimented for his role in keeping the group together & was attentive to each individual person's need. He did 💯% justice to the work he did. Each day he started with a silent prayer🙏 before starting the journey. This filled all our minds with lotss of positivity.✨ And also after each destination he would count & made sure everyone was there. His loving, passionate, humble nature stole our hearts and we all felt he was one among us. He was very active and joined us in everthing especially our "Daniel" game which we played in bus while travelling. overall we had a great time together.

  Just returned from an amazing Ethiopia trip with Danakil Depression Tours, and it was a fantastic experience! A huge shoutout to our tour manager Mickey his excellent leadership, sincere efforts, always-smiling face, and positive attitude made the journey smooth and enjoyable for everyone. The food and accommodation were well-organized and comfortable throughout. The meals were thoughtfully planned, offering a good mix of western and local Ethiopia cuisine — something to please every palate. Another highlight of our trip was our local guide, alex— truly the best guide we could have asked for! The best with deep knowledge of Ethiopia culture, history, and attractions, paired with a fantastic sense of humor and friendly nature, made every sightseeing stop both engaging and delightful. Thanks to Danakil Depression Tours, Alex and mustofa for creating such wonderful memories. Highly recommended!

  The two of us went on a three-week trip through the north and parts of the south with Danakil Depression Tours. The organization before the trip was very good, even if we sometimes had to wait a few days for an answer. In the end, everything was organized very well and adapted to our wishes and ideas. We had actually agreed on “middle class” accommodation and were surprised every day by the great accommodation we slept in. So that was much more than middle class. We had 3driver 4sites new Toyota Land Cruiser for the whole 3 weeks (apart from a few days when we traveled by plane). Yohans was a great driver and very nice and friendly. We had a lot of fun on the sometimes very long journeys and it was always nice to be picked up by him at our accommodation in the morning. Many thanks again to Yohans The time in Ethiopia was very varied. Of course there are many cultural places and buildings to see. What we weren't aware of before is how diverse the landscapes are. We were, among others, in the Simien Mountains, in Geralta, in the Danakil, in the south, etc. And each place or region is special and impressive in its own way. We were most impressed by the 4 day Erta Ale/Danakil tour. Looking back, it's a surreal thought that we hiked up a volcano at night, looked into the lava, and then slept in small stone huts near the crater rim. Sleeping in the open air in the Danakil, floating in the salt water pool in the desert and Dallol were also very impressive and adventurous. The 3 day tour was carried out with the group of 8people was also very well Overall, we had a great time in Ethiopia, especially thanks to Let’s Imagine. We can only warmly recommend Bewnetu and his entire team.
