We had a truly fabulous full day tour of Bucharest with Catalin. What a great representative of a wonderful city, which admittedly we knew very little about, except its fairly recent history. A day well spent! Highly recommend this tour and if you can get Catalin as your guide it will be even better!

This is a great way to see the city highlights and learn some of the history in one day with a local guide. Sebastian was our fantastic guide, he reached out the day before to confirm and provide pick up details. He was on time and shared a wealth of information. Even though there were only a few reviews on the website, we chose this tour and it was great!! If you go to parliament you need your passports and have to be able to go up a lot of stairs. We covered a lot of ground on foot as traffic in Bucharest gets pretty bad by 330-4 pm.

Our experience with Radu was unforgettable—thank you! As a person, he was smart, punctual, warm, funny, and courteous. As a guide, he was communicative, relatable, thorough, and very knowledgeable. He was both informed and informative. His English and enunciation were excellent and easy to understand. He is a storyteller, which we enjoyed as it is a good way to remember information. He engaged us all—including our teenage son. Like other tour guides, he was not in a rush to finish! When my husband and son couldn’t finish the tour because they were too tired after a long and hot day, he kindly offered to come and meet us the next day. He also helped us find a shawarma spot for lunch—which was fresh and friendly—we all really enjoyed it! We are grateful for Radu’s flexibility and kindness. When planning your day, it’s my opinion, which aligns with what I had read, that you should skip the village museum and plan accordingly. We LOVED the parliament tour, the Ceausescu mansion, and the walking tour, as they aligned with Romanian history and what they have gone through. As for communication, I feel once we were connected with Radu, things went smoothly, but this didn’t happen until the night before. Thank you, Radu—we know so much more about Bucharest because of you—we’ll be in touch!

The main attractions were in the tour with enough time to explore them. Sebastian, the guide, made tour without any rush giving us a lesson about each place we visited and an about the Romanian history with details of the communist era. It took about eight from the pick up to the drop off. Be prepared to walk a bit and for staircases specially in the parliament building.
