Enjoy a day of relaxation and discovery, in the comfort of our luxury van, air-conditioned with leather interior and electric.
Your personal guide will take advantage of the journey to tell you about one of the oldest wine-growing regions in France, already exploited by the Romans. You will discover the magnificent vineyards of the right bank of the Garonne, and the castles which make these appellations famous.
The visits have been reserved for you in areas of Saint-Emilion or Pomerol. Arriving at the castles, you will be taken for a guided tour of the cellars, the vines, the vat room... A tasting of the estate's wines will be offered to you at the end of each of the 3 visits. You will be introduced to tasting techniques, which will introduce your nose and taste buds to unsuspected sensations....
The cobbled streets will then open up to you, and you will marvel at the treasures of Saint-Émilion, and the heritage of its famous monk.

Place de la Comedie
As soon as you leave Bordeaux, you will discover the green countryside, and the multitude of plots of vines with evocative names. First the parcels of Entre-Deux-Mers between Garonne and Dordogne, then the appellations of Libournais, Pomerol, Lalande de Pomerol, Fronsac, and finally Saint-Émilion and its satellite appellations, Montagne-Saint-Émilion, Saint- Georges Saint-Émilion, Lussac Saint-Émilion, Puisseguin Saint-Émilion. You will enjoy discovering these castles in the middle of the vineyards. You will be charmed by the beauty of this heritage, which since the French Revolution has continued to improve.
Chateau Franc Mayne
We will take you to visit one of the magnificent castles for which the wines of Saint-Emilion are famous. Grape varieties, destemming, cuvaison, fermentation, fining... you will know everything about vinification, the different grape varieties used and the blended wines. You will be able to see that the modernism of today's cellars marries perfectly with ancestral working techniques in order to give birth, each year, to wonderful vintages, always having an assertive temperament. Château Franc-Mayne, by allowing you to visit the limestone plateau from the inside, will give you the keys to understanding the mineral notes of the Grands Crus of Saint-Emilion. This visit will conclude with a tasting of the estate's wines. During this tasting, you will be given valuable advice for aging, for your future purchases of Saint-Émilion wines. The castle is given as an example. The castle visited is subject to change, depending on the availability of the estates.

Wonderful, personal experience We were looking for a comfortable, personal experience rather than a large group tour. Catherine's communication was great and helpful, and that got the day off to a good start. As we drove to St. Emilion, Catherine gave us detailed information about the region and wine classifications. The tour included 3 wineries, where Bacchus has long-term relationships, as well as a go around the town and lunch. We were warmly welcomed and our needs were accommodated graciously.

Very nice tour of the St-Émilion. Catherine is a very knowledgeable guide to everything related to Bordeaux vineyards, and we were able to appreciate a lot of information she gave us while traveling the region. In the 3 vineyards visited, his personal contacts with the local team make us feel welcomed, and we visits offer the opportunity to appreciate all the work in the making of these delicious wines. The winemakers themselves are not greedy with comments and know how to make us appreciate the visit. The sites chosen are small in scale, quite different from those "industrial" visits that can be found in larger areas. Recommended!

Great day in St Emilion and tastings at 3 wineries. Great fun and conversation with both Catherine and Hugo, we were a small group of 4 but alll needs catered for plus a fantastic lunch.........amazing duck! :) You could see the relationship Catherine had with the respective wineries and guides so always felt we were getting great service and tours. As the group split due to participants travel deadlines, myself any my wife had the chance to walk around St Emilion village then travel back to Bordeaux with Hugo........very interesting and relaxing experience and what a car! Thanks again to Catherine and Hugo, and would highly recommend them as a preferred tour. Brendan & Leigh.

My wife and I had a great day touring Saint-Emilion with Hugo (29 August 2024). What was originally booked as a small group tour ended up being a private tour for the day, which just added to the experience. The only downside was that it was a rainy day; but, a rainy day touring Bordeaux is still a great day! We would definitely use Bacchus Tours again... just need to start planning the next visit. We also had a very nice tour of the Medoc with Catherine, the following day, but that's another review...

Such a wonderful day with Catherine. She was friendly and really knowledgeable about the area. We went to a fabulous selection of vineyards which were all very different but full of history. Amazing cellar tour at Franc Mayne with Veronique. Went to a lovely restaurant for lunch followed by further tastings. We highly recommend this trip. Thank you. Catherine!

I booked a 2 day package with Catherine and Hugo and it was amazing! We spent one day on left bank and one on the right and they took care of every detail. Lunches were incredible and the schedule was well paced. Do not hesitate to book with them if you are traveling to Bordeaux.

Had a most wonderful time with Catherine and Hugo. An exquisitely curated experience providing 3 distinct vineyard tours, a delicious lunch, and delicious wine tastings. I feel confident in my newfound knowledge of St. Emillion and Pomerol wines! My new wife and I felt like family by the time the day was done. I cannot speak enough praise for this experience. Merci beaucoup!
