5.00The trip was amazing, and the team was very helpful and attentive to even the tiniest details especially Kudos, the tour guide. The ride was long and tiring, but Oli, another tour guide made it worthwhile with his historical and local knowledge base. The weather was nice not too cold neither too hot and I hear its like that all-year round. This is a must-visit for any couple bored of the city hazzle.
Quite a worthwhile day trip.

5.00Quite an interesting drive from Addis to the lake and even saw baboons along the way. Dani our driver was excellent and got us there and back quite expeditiously. I enjoyed the hike which was quite a workout and also the boat ride. You should try the natural sparkling water from the mineral spring! Abrham and Malet had lots of information to impart and I thought they did an excellent job 👏...I felt like family.

5.00I am a solo traveller from Zimbabwe and I had an amazing day trip to Wenchi Crater Lake. Pick-up was right on time, and the guides were very informative. We enjoyed great views and a relaxing boat cruise on the lake, followed by a delicious lunch. The driver was excellent—unhurried yet very punctual. I highly recommend this company!

4.00The tour is a mere slice of a beautiful, incredible experience: the natural majesty of the area, the beautiful local people, and the unique experience for people who cherish the little, every day things. Amatchew, the driver, will get you to and from Wanchi in one piece... and the street experience in the van is something else. He may not speak English well but he has a natural "gift" or instinct for sensing what you need beyond words. He made several stops along the way to accommodate specific needs and made me feel safe. When I told the flight attendants on Ethiopian Airlines and the hotel concierge that I had visited Wanchi, their eyes widened in delight. Truly, to get to the heart of an Ethiopian, honour and respect what they love and they will feel it. Perhaps this is one of the best takeaways from my experiences with Liyu: the opportunity to see life through the eyes of the locals. Thank you, Yhun, for arranging this tour.
