Acatenango, La Soledad

We'll arrive at the base of the volcano to begin the challenging but rewarding ascent. The hike takes approximately 6-7 hours, including breaks.

We will arrive at our camp just in time to see an unforgettable sunset over the clouds. Enjoy a hot light dinner as the Volcano of Fire roars with eruptions that light up the night. You will see lava flow and feel the earth vibrate in a unique sensory experience. Stay overnight in a shared dome with sleeping bag and warm equipment included.

Acatenango Camp - Summit

We'll wake up around 3:30 a.m. for a 1.5-hour hike to the summit of Acatenango (3,976 meters / 13,045 feet). You'll arrive at the top just in time to see the most spectacular sunrise of your life, with panoramic 360° views of other volcanoes, the Pacific Ocean, and the Guatemala Valley.
