Be entertained with our professional and skillful drummers and partake in learning how to be a pro African drummer in just an hour or less.
You will also have the opportunity to shop for authentic African antiques products, fabrics and souvenirs all at a fairly traded rates at the art and craft market where we perform our lessons.
You will learn about the different types of drums and the sound each type of drums produce and for which occasions and functions they are used.
After The drumming lesson, we will go to the independence square also known as the black star square for the iconic view if the city and some amazing photo taking opportunities

What To Expect
Travelers will learn about authentic African drumming and dancing at the art and craft market where you can buy some African art and craft as well as souvenirs at fair rates. Travelers will also be given a lecture about the history and significance importance of drums in our various communities and how they impact in our everyday lives. You will witness all the processes involved by the crafts men as they produce drums at the leaning center for you to see.

Worst "teachers" ever. But the professionalism of the operator deserves 2 stars instead of just 1

2.00The contractors had 0 interest in actually teaching, all they did was pressuring me into buying something from their shop. It started after 10 minutes of drumming, I refused but they kept insisting and when I still refused they made it clear they didn't want to teach me anymore. They went on for another 10-15 minutes and started pressuring me again. At this point it became so unpleasant that I decided to leave. The whole thing lasted a little less than 1 hour and half of that was spent telling them I was just there to genuinely learn rhythms and not to buy anything. But to give credit where it is due: the operator was very professional and took responsibility for it, apologised for the unpleasant experience and issued a partial refund and said they were looking for other contractors to prevent this situation from happening again.

5.00We thoroughly enjoyed the drumming lessons and their farewell serenade for us at the end of class. This was our very last excursion before heading to the airport to head home.
