What To Expect
W.E.B. DuBois Center
An advocate for the black community and women’s suffrage, Du Bois spent much his life and career focused on Pan-Africanism and became an organizer of several Pan-African congresses leading the charge to free many African colonies from European control. While in Ghana, a country where he was a champion for independence, Du Bois, planned his final project, the Encyclopedia Africana. Styled similarly to the Encyclopedia Britannica, the proposed Encyclopedia Africana was an ambitious undertaking that Du Bois hoped would connect the entire African diaspora. Although Du Bois died in 1963 without completing Encyclopedia Africana, his contributions to the African American experience as a historian, civil rights activist, writer, sociologist and intellectual are vast. The Museum celebrates the influential life he lived, his activism and the scholarly works that continue to serve as essential references regarding racism in America.
Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park
Dedicated to the memory of the late Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the memorial park was built on a former British Polo field where Ghana’s independence was declared in 1957. The Mausoleum is a magnificent Marble Monument and the last resting place of the first President of Ghana and his wife, Fathia Nkrumah.

5.00Absolutely wonderful experience with Eben touring Accra. Very friendly and made it easy for us to see all the main sites with an air conditioned car. He also drove us to Elmina and was a very safe and reliable driver. Highly recommend!

5.00Eben arrived punctually to pick us from our hotel and was immediately welcoming and offered us a bottle of water. He explained where and what we would be covering on the tour. All activities were done in a friendly and professional manner and he also acted as our security and camera man🙂 Would recommend him to anyone needing a guide in Accra...he also advised us on places to see in Kumasi.

5.00This is our second tour with Eben as we loved the first tour with the waterfalls. The Accra tour was wonderful as Eben is very knowledgeable about the history and would bring us to places we would never be able to visit by ourselves as well as find souvenirs at great prices. He is very thoughtful, remembered our names and preferences even though it has been a week. He adjusted the itinerary so that we could do the tour and get to the airport at the requested time. I highly recommend booking him so you can see his charm for yourself! P.S. Also amazing food recommendations at super cheap price! 😊

5.00The tour was an excellent experience. I spent the whole day exploring Accra. I met Eben by chance but I learnt so much about the culture, history and people of Ghana. We also got to visit the market and got the best rates. I also had authentic Ghanaian waakye. Truly a wonderful experience.
