Makola Market was constructed in Accra in 1924 and stood at the heart of the urban Ghanaian life. This market is the main wholesale and retail marketplace in Accra, the epicenter of trade in the country and one of the nation's most important social and cultural institutions.

1.00Unfortunately, TripAdvisor didn't know about the local holiday and so they took my money for a trip that didn't happen. I waited at my hotel for 45 minutes. No one contacted me via email, text or phone. No one answered the numbers provided. When I called TripAdvisor, they said they can' t do a refund without a weird three day waiting period. My advice is don't book through TripAdvisor. They just take your money and then take no responsibility for knowing about holidays or processing refunds.
