What To Expect
National Museum of Ghana
March 5th, 1957 marked the opening of the largest and oldest of the six museums under the administration of the Ghana Museums and Monuments Board, which was established by the Duchess of Kent Princess Marina. The artifacts in the archeology section span from the recent past to the Stone Age. Those on permanent exhibition at the ethnography gallery include chief's regalia, indigenous Ghanaian musical instruments, gold weights, beads, traditional textiles, stools and pottery. There are also items from other African nations that were obtained via trade. Senufo masks from Ivory Coast, wooden Zulu figures, and beaded items from Southern Africa are a few examples. Bushongo carvings from the Congo and ancient Ife bronze heads from Nigeria are also present. The modest but striking art gallery's displays mostly feature modern paintings created in oils, pastels, acrylics, watercolors, and collages by contemporary Ghanaians. In addition to these, there are sculptures made of various materials.
Makola Market
In the heart of Accra's city, Makola Market is a well-known local marketplace with several indoor and outdoor spaces for shopping. We would like to introduce you to the bustling Makola Market, the biggest outdoor market in Accra, where you can interact with the women vendors. while you take in the vibrant, happy hustle of the people. While taking pictures, shop and take advantage of everything the area has to offer.

4.00Nice day had nice guide, who knew a lot about the places we visited. Only downside is that at the end of the tour we went for some food and the guide and the driver also ordered food and we ended up paying for their food. It would have been neater if they had asked us to pay for their food in advance.

4.00I had a memorable experience on the Boansi Accra city tour, led by two young men who brought energy and insight to the journey through Accra's rich culture and history. It’s inspiring to see the younger generation take the lead in offering visitors such an authentic experience of Ghana, helping to build meaningful connections with the country. There are, however, a few areas for improvement. For instance, presenting a professional first impression with a business ID and logo, perhaps even a visible sticker, would enhance customer confidence. Additionally, improving communication about the tour details and any potential delays beforehand would go a long way in refining the experience.
