Keep an eye out for baboons, cats, duikers, guinea fowls, kobs, green monkeys, monitor lizards, and zebras, along with many beautiful butterflies.

The Shai Hills Resource Reserve is the closest wildlife sanctuary to Accra. See baboons, birds, butterflies, antelope, ostrich, zebras and bat caves. Hiking and driving routes of various lengths are available, as well as rock scrambling. Beautiful view of the Accra plains from atop the hills. there are nearly dozens of primary animal species including Ostriches, antelopes, bats, birds (such as violet Turaco, Paradise Flycatcher, Green Turaco Red-billed Hornbill, Yellow-fronted Tinkerbird, and Red-necked Buzzard), baboons, cats, duiker, guinea fowls, Kobs, green monkeys, monitor lizards, and zebras....while hiking, you meet some of them..
A trip to this plant will teach you how glasses are transformed into lovely beads that adorn our bodies. Watch as the glasses are crushed into a fine powder and placed into a clay mold. Examine how it is cooked by burning crushed palm kernels at an incredibly high temperature to achieve the required result. You’ll be surprised at how easy traditional technology is employed to generate a temperature of around 600°C from palm kernels. Visit this bead factory to learn how to create them, and don’t forget to purchase some beads for souvenirs – and gifts!

Daniel and Daniel were professional and friendly. They communicated through every step of the tour from pick-up to drop-off. As a plus, they were genuinely passionate about Ghana and were more than happy to educate me from the lens of a local which is all I could personally want. When I return, I will be looking to book another of their tours

Great experience with an awesome guide who took special care of us throughout the day. Daniel, our guide, was funny, kind, and on it with the picture taking. The tour is nicely paced and really covers a lot of terrain. The mountains are just beautiful. If you’re staying Accra, definitely worth it to get out and see other landscapes here in Ghana. Would 100% return
