Original objects and furniture give you the atmosphere of Freud's apartment, while unique films from the 1930s show the Freuds' private lives. The various elements of the exhibition fascinated us - in a historical site, in the rooms, to make a successful synthesis of different types of exhibits tangible. Partly very personal insights and completely new perspectives on Freud, his family and companions:innen.

For me, the exhibition was simply excellently prepared and exceeded my expectations. I was also on site 3.5h instead of 2h.

Excellent experience. Focused mostly on the evolution of Freud's theories.

This is a private museum, which is not even supported by the Freud foundation. Basically, it’s a series of empty rooms where Freud had his office and sitting area. The only interesting thing was clips of family movies.

I visited it with the school, nothing exceptional, except the strawberry cake from the adjacent bar.

As a psychologist, it was emotional and meaningful to be there and see the place in person. It has a lot of history both from his family side and his practice, which made it even more interesting. It got a bit crowded with some school groups there, but still I was able to see and read everything. It is intense to read all of it, and to think about his days in that apartment, writing some of the most important work in Psychology. It is definitely worth the visit.

The tour of the Sigmund Freud Museum was very informative, comprehensive and very professional. We really liked her. The entire exhibition, and especially the special exhibition, also gave you a comprehensive overview.

The largest piece is about what the family experienced during the persecution of the Jews last century. About Sigmund Freud's work you don't see much and certainly no depth, more the general principles. Definitely worth it if you are in Vienna.

This is a very interesting and moving museum with far more to see and read than imagined. Allow at least 90 minutes and leave coats in the lockers as it is very warm.
