The BUZOS DE BARU dive center is a PADI RESORT with more than 20 years of continuous operation in the city, positioned as one of the best diving schools in Cartagena.
We have qualified PADI instructors, and trained personnel for teaching and diving guidance, we like to do long dives and go to the most beautiful places possible for each day depending on the weather in the area.

What To Expect
That's what the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is about. You don't have to be “advanced” to do it - it is designed to advance your diving, so you can start immediately once your PADI Open Water Diver certification is achieved. The course helps you build confidence and expand your diving skills through different Adventure Dives. Try different specialties while gaining experience under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. You register dives and develop capabilities while finding new ways to have fun diving. During two days of diving you will make 5 adventure dives in the company of a PADI diving professional, deep diving, navigation, sunken ships, buoyancy domain, fish identification. Every day of diving we go to baru by boat from 7:00 am until 1:30 pm that we return approximately. The theory is very easy, read 5 short chapters of the 5 specialties and watch some videos, talk with the instructor before diving and have fun underwater. In the end you will receive your certification as an advanced PADI diver

5.00I had such a great time, all the Dive masters are highly skilled, friendly and cool people and they know what they are doing! Gear was in great shape and worked perfect. Doing the Advanced diving certificate was on my bucket list for long time, planning and getting it with this crew was straight forward. Everything was on time and even the weather was perfect. Alvaro (my instructor) was very patient, and he explained everything in great detail. Under water he made me feel very confident when I had to do the exercises. One day, 2 people without previos experience were on the boat for their first dive, once out of the water they were just smiling and happy. 10/10 experience! If you are looking for a great adventure under water in Cartagena, even without any experience, don´t think twice, Buzos de Baru is your team!

5.00Santiago and Alvaro were very helpful, helped me practice Spanish vocab, and were very clear in their instructions. Would come back for sure.
The best experience in my dive, very good choice to obtain my certificate as an advance. instructors were very nice.
