Explore and admire Auckland's largest regional park, the Waitakere Ranges, on this 5 hour afternoon eco-tour. The perfect way to get out of the city and enjoy the nature on Auckland's door step.
You'll be picked up from your centrally located Auckland hotel before traveling 30-minutes west to the Waitakere Ranges.
From here travel further west to enjoy a walk in the rainforest before visiting the beautiful Piha Beach for a walk on the soft black sand.
Afternoon refreshments are provided along with full commentary from our driver guides.

Linda Y5.0Aug 2024What a great day trip to see the Waitekere Ranges. It was nice to see a whole lot of native flora in the preserved area. The drive up was lovely and we stopped for a quick break to pick up a snack for lunch and it was nice to try the steak and cheese pie. Piping hot. We arrived at the visitor center to learn about the area and we could look around inside before we went for a nice walk on one of the easier trails where Mairi pointed out all the species native to New Zealand. Then we headed to Piha Beach and we were luck to have not got rained on here too. After strolling the black sand beach and getting copious amount of pictures, we had tea and some yummy anzac biscuits before heading back to the city. It was nice to hear that some of our money goes towards the conservation. Very pleased with that.Great way to spend a half day in Auckland! Company went the extra mile ~ thanks!

I would rate this six stars if I could because this company bent over backward to make the tour work for us when we had a situation out of our control that would not allow us to be ready at the pick-up time. They took us on a separate bus and helped us join the tour 30 minutes late and we felt like we had not missed a thing.
