This afternoon trip will be dedicated to the famous vineyard of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The ruins of the Pope's formal summer residence dominate the typical medieval village.

The 13 varieties of grapes combined with the various soils create a large palette of complex red wines and elegant white wines. Enjoy two wine-tastings in two of the numerous cellars of the village before going back to Avignon.

Our guide Oliver was great - knowledgeable, funny and engaging! Tour covered 2 wineries in the region, with 3-4 tastings at each location. The wines were very good as well, so overall very pleasant experience. Just wish it wasn’t so hot!

Emile was extremely knowledgeable! The tour was great. The Christina winery could use some improvements in their tasting room decor (desk in the room), Christmas tree box in the lobby (it’s June)! Also, they could be more generous in their tasting portions.

Interesting tour of a vineyard and the shop of a vineyard in the Chateauneuf du Pape region. Our tour guide Arnaud was friendly and very informative. We were a little disappointed that we only got to try 8 small samples of wine for the price we paid.

Terrific guide, knowledgeable about the history of the area, wine, vineyards, history of the Popes, very good! Great tour and learned a lot from both chateau's -the wine was wonderful! I shipped a case back to the U.S. very worth it. Would recommend to all.

Great afternoon spent tasting Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines. Arnaud was a great guide and gave us a brief history lesson on the region and wine. He also provided a killer dinner recommendation at Bibendum.
