This afternoon trip will be dedicated to the famous vineyard of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The ruins of the Pope's formal summer residence dominate the typical medieval village.
The 13 varieties of grapes combined with the various soils create a large palette of complex red wines and elegant white wines. Enjoy two wine-tastings in two of the numerous cellars of the village before going back to Avignon.

5.00We had a wonderful guided visit to the CDP region with Arnaud. He was knowledgeable, informative, and friendly. We enjoyed tastings at two vineyards and ended with a trip to the CDP castle ruins.

5.00The tour was absolutely fantastic. It was exactly as advertised. Our guide, Emile, was early, very nice, fluent in English and most importantly, extremely knowledgeable. We visited two amazing wineries and the people there were amazing, the tastings were amazing, and the explanation of local history was amazing. It was a very relaxing and serene experience and I can’t give it high enough ratings! I plan to come back with other family members. Also, if this is your first time in Avignon, it is a gem of a town. So peaceful and quiet with amazing quaint restaurants around every corner. Magnifique!!
