In the heart of 350 acres of lush farmland, only 10 minutes from the Rotorua city centre, you’ll find the Agrodome — a real working sheep and cattle farm that has been loved for over 40 years by visitors from around the globe.
The Farm Show introduces visitors to the farm, animals and orchard, where they can hand-feed friendly animals, taste natural kiwifruit juice and delicious sweet honey, and find out what happens on a real Kiwi farm. New Zealand's ultimate farm experience.
The Agrodome Farm Tour starts as you climb aboard the all-weather, all terrain vehicle. Along the way, there are fascinating things to learn - and a few laughs too!
You’ll get to hand-feed and take photos with all sorts of friendly animals, including Romney sheep, cattle, deer, llamas, ostrich, pigs and alpaca! During your ride you may even spot some rare breeds of sheep.
Hands-on, entertaining and educational – kids and adults alike love the Farm Tour.

What To Expect
Agrodome
In the heart of 350-acres of lush farmland, yet only 10 minutes from Rotorua city centre, you’ll find New Zealand’s Agrodome. An educational and hands-on experience, you'll get the chance to join in on farming activities as you learn about farming in NZ and meet the farmers and their sheep. Join the Agrodome Farm Tour & Farm Show for a taste of life on the farm. You'll be guided by a genuine kiwi farmer and introduced to a variety of farm animals. There's cattle, deer, llamas and alpacas, even emus and ostriches, and of course more sheep. You'll be able to get close to the animals and even hand feed them if you wish. The Agrodome is suitable for all ages and makes a great morning or afternoon of family entertainment. Located only 10km (6-miles) from Rotorua with excellent public transport from the city centre, the Agrodome is the essential New Zealand experience. You'd be baahking mad to miss it! Check-in is 15 minutes prior to your trip time directly at the Agrodome.

5.00Despite growing up around farms, I very much enjoyed the show. I found it very informative and loved how interactive the show was. My partner (who has little to no farm experience) also very much enjoyed the show. We both found the farm tour very interesting and loved interacting with the animals.

5.00The Agrodome farm show was both funny and educational — sheep shearing, working dogs, and lots of laughs! The farm tour was a highlight too — feeding alpacas, sheep, and deer up close. Great for families and a nice break from the usual adventure activities.

4.00The smell of sheep in the concert hall was a little bad at first, but I got used to it soon. I was immersed in the performance because it was fun. It was also good to be able to communicate closely with animals on a farm tour by tractor. The experience of a spoonful of honey was also very good.
Even if it was cold Welcoming and fine. Well there was no tradition in French but very good time

5.00Yeah, sure. Welcome. Just no translation into French but sheep shearing. Have touched the wool and we also look at the heads of small sheep. Then in a tractor to feed sheep to deer llama 🦌. Yeah, sure. In addition a small parking for children and the possibility of eating. Good price. I'm recovering.

5.00We love this tour and farm show great place to see how farming is done. They have several kinds of animals first we started off with a show the lady. Who announced was great, very knowledgeable, funny and nice demonstration on sharing a sheep. The dogs Herding ducks was amazing. after the show we were able to go up on stage and pet the sheep's and dogs. We were able to get as many pictures as we wanted, we were not rushed to leave. Outside same lady demonstrated with the dogs how they heard the sheep over a bridge and into a pen, such talent these dogs have. next we were loaded on tram, then went out to the fields to see the animals up close our tram driver was great. He brought food along, so anyone who wanted to feed sheep and alpacas could, they were used to the people they associated food with the tramp. It was so fun. I would definitely recommend this to tour for everyone. I think Kids would especially enjoy it
