Your workshop begins in the heart of Aix-en-Provence’s historic center, just two minutes away from the main square, cafes, and restaurants. Step into a fully-equipped kitchen studio, where you'll meet your instructor, a local chef, and your fellow participants. With a maximum of ten people, you’ll receive personalized guidance throughout the session. You’ll be provided with an apron and utensils before diving into making and kneading the dough. Follow your instructor’s clear, step-by-step instructions as you move on to shaping and baking. You’ll start by perfecting the classic croissant, then try your hand at two other French pastry favorites: pain au chocolat and pain au raisin. While you bake, enjoy complimentary hot and cold drinks. Once your pastries are out of the oven, treat yourself to a tasting session of your delicious creations. Want to keep making French pastries at home? Each participant receives a free illustrated booklet with recipes to help you remember every step.

I loved the class! Chef Gaetane is an amazing instructor. We learned how to make croissants and pan au chocolat the traditional way. A must do when in Aix!

The class was fun and informative. We had people with no experience and some with more, but all had a good time and made some amazing pastries. I highly recommend it and would take another class from these amazing people.

We had a great time learning how to make croissants & pain-au-chicolat pastries today (although we’ll probably never be able to make them at home). The chef was wonderful. We worked in a professional kitchen with six other guests who were fun to get to know. If you’re visiting Aix-En-Provence, we highly recommend this experience.

This was a very fun experience and an enjoyable afternoon. The group was small and everyone had a good time participating. The class is held in a professional kitchen and the teacher was great. She had a wry sense of humor which I greatly enjoyed. When I told her I'd seen people grate the butter for lamination instead of pounding it, she said "well, the british don't make croissants." We all came home with a couple of croissants and a couple of pain au chocolate so we had breakfasts and good memories to enjoy afterwards. I highly recommend this experience!

This was everything I was hoping for, and more. The instructor was very clear and helped us to be able to reproduce the most delicious croissant and chocolate treat.
