  Really enjoyed the cycle ride which was helped by glorious weather and Jack our excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable and I found him interesting. He was very encouraging when going up a hill and I felt very supported. The tour is a great way to see the area and the amazing views. Highly recommend and money well spent.

  We had a great time! The bikes were top quality so the ride was good and the hills very doable. The route was what we were hoping for, a bit of local scenery and knowledge, amazing views and the opportunity to be out in this beautiful weather. Thanks!

  Biking with breathtaking views—especially from the top of a mountain—is not always easy, but thanks to Greville, Jack, and their wonderful e-bikes, our Akaroa adventure was absolutely amazing. From the city to the lighthouse, up the mountain, and finally to Caldera Winery, the journey was nothing short of spectacular. The e-bikes were in perfect condition, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. I especially appreciated the insightful explanations about the places we visited, making the ride even more enriching. Riding up and down the scenic roads was an unforgettable experience—I highly recommend it!

  Allie & Greville are remarkable. They are service oriented and go out of their way to make sure you have a terrific time. We did a solo ride, the loop, and it was stunning. Highly recommended!

  Disappointing experience for several reasons :(. First, the guided tour that was initially booked and paid for was subsequently unavailable and we were given the option to hire the bikes without a guide; which seemed a good idea at the time. On reflection, we changed our mind due to our inexperience and there being no bike paths or tracks and riding was only possible on narrow public roads. We were refused a refund and were told that the bikes had already been specifically serviced for us (this the night before). On pickup, no safety briefing was provided. The instructions re the e-bikes were inadequate as we had made our inexperience known. For example, on asking which gears did what, we were told to have a play with them once we started riding. The lady did not seem to know herself which gears did what. The seat on one of our bikes couldn’t be adjusted and the alternate bike didnt have the same functionality as the first. This was eventually addressed at our insistence. Only 1.5hrs into an all day hire, the chain came off one bike, going up a hill, and we couldn’t get it back on rendering it useless. We texted for assistance and was told there was no pickup service (we had asked for help, not pickup) and were told that it was user error. We had to push the bike back to town over 1.5kms - fortunately we were not further afield. We were offered the other bike but were not confident that we wouldn’t be in the same situation again and being caught further away. No compensation, assistance or followup was offered.

  Totally awesome trip & highly recommend! This needs to be on your ‘must do’ list!!!! It’s a very well organised, where your safety, ability & enjoyment are considered in equal measure. I’m new to e-bikes but was well briefed by my guide & felt totally safe. The views speak for themselves!! Stunning. Thank you Grevel, you & your team are top rate!

  We joined the ebike tour while in Port at Lyttleton for the day and it was a fabulous day!! Our guide was great with everyone and made sure we all knew how to work the bikes. The views were great, the weather beautiful, and we were exceptionally glad that we found this tour. Thank you for the great day!

  I had signed up for a kayak but because of the southerly winds coming in, we couldn't go out, so instead they offered me an e-bike tour. It was SO fun and worth it. It was a private tour, and the tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. The e-bikes made ascending the mountains quite easy, and the sites were incredible.
