This unique adventure invites you to snorkel with turtles in the crystal-clear waters of Akumal Bay and discover hidden cenotes, all while enjoying seamless transportation and a delicious meal to top it all off!
Here’s the plan:
• 10:00 am: We’ll meet at Los Bisquets de Obregon restaurant in Playa del Carmen;
• Our first stop is Akumal Bay, where you’ll snorkel with the sea turtles in their habitat. All necessary equipment is provided
• After our time with the turtles, we’ll head to a property that holds three hidden cenotes, to enjoy the peaceful serenity of these stunning spots
• Finally, we’ll return to Playa del Carmen to indulge in a fantastic meal— vegetarian options included to suit everyone’s preferences
Important:
If weather conditions prevent us from snorkelling with the turtles in Akumal (due to restrictions from the Port Captaincy), you’ll have two options:
1. Explore five cenotes instead of three, or
2. Reschedule your experience for another day

What To Expect
Akumal Bay
Akumal Bay is the only place where to be sure to swim with sea turtles, protected by a natural reef and free to swim in the bay while eating the grass and reproducing themself. We use the facilities of the main diving centre in the area, with lockers, bathrooms and showers, plus the service of an expert local guide, that will show you the turtles. We take you first to the reef, using a speed boat, starting to swim there and see different corals and local fishes, stingrays, starfishes, etc; later on, we watch the turtles, in their natural environment, making sure we use the life jackets and staying in horizontal position, not touching them, but eventually taking pictures or videos, from the water surface. It's really important to understand we are not in a pool with turtles, but they are free in the ocean, so the average number of turtles we see is two or three, possibly of different sizes, from big ones to small little babies. Please the use of sunscreen is not allowed; thank you.
The cenotes we visit are (fortunately!) not listed on the map, because we enter a private community, having chances to explore the place on our own, walking from one cenote to the other, and most of the time staying alone there, in real contact with Mother Nature. Our target is avoiding the big crowds (typical of the other places), giving chances to our guests to be in a quiet and calm area, where swimming in different cenotes, with crystal blue waters, and just listening to birds, while admiring those amazing caves and trees. Life jackets and goggles are included too. Water temperature could be fresh during the winter, so we suggest bringing perhaps a rashguard, if you feel so. Use of Gopro or personal cell phones is allowed, to take pictures and videos, to remember such a unique experience! All cenotes are nice, but to experience them alone in the jungle, is a different feeling and that's what makes our activity so special. Water shoes could be more comfortable for you. Welcome

5.00When you drive into the Akumal Beach area, you’ll see a lot of people waving you in, trying to sell snorkel tours for around $40 per person. Don’t fall for it! Instead, drive all the way in to the official parking area just past the entrance — parking costs only $5. The entrance fee is $7, and you can rent a locker with a lock for another $5 to store your belongings safely. On the beach, you can rent snorkel gear and life vests, or take a guided boat tour with an instructor for about $65 — which is a much better experience than the quick tours offered by the roadside vendors. Akumal Beach is absolutely worth visiting — calm waters, sea turtles, and a safe, organized setup. Highly recommended!

5.00Fabio organized a tour for a group of 11 of us, and it was one of the highlights of the trip! He was very easy to work with, extremely flexible, and super knowledgeable about the sea turtles and cenotes. The snorkeling was so fun, and the cenotes were unlike anything I have ever seen before. By going with Fabio, we were able to have exclusive access to the cenotes which was such a treat! It was also so special to be able to share a delicious meal with him afterwards. I would highly recommend this experience for groups - especially girls trips/bachelorette/couples trips

5.00This experience was absolutely amazing! We went swimming with sea turtles and visited 3 cenotes with Fabio for my bachelorette, and it was truly incredible. There were 11 of us, we were picked up at our house and taken back home at the end, which was very convenient. Fabio was so kind, knowledgeable, and fun to spend the day with! All of us loved his passion for nature and emphasis on preservation and respect. We could not have chosen a better person to take us on this activity! Also, the meal at the end is genuinely delicious. Loved all eating together like a family at the end of it! Would highly recommend to anyone.

5.00Knowing the cenotes was a nice experience, that feeling of being in a cave with the water so fresh, what I liked most about this tour was seeing the turtles in the natural and being able to snorkel with them, when we finished we went to eat at carmen beach the food is very very good. 5.00We had such a wonderful time seeing the sea turtles and cenotes with Fabio. Both areas are spectacular and his enthusiasm for nature was contagious. Swimming in the crystal clear, fresh waters of the cenotes was definitely the highlight! The lunch after was very tasty and Fabio’s easy going manner was great company. We felt well taken care of and very safe while exploring the unknown. I highly recommend this trip!

5.00Wow, completely speechless, if you have the chance to go to Mexico you can not return without having seen these heavenly places and had this experience, the turtles were something incredible, I often swam with turtles but never with so much is together, so close and always respecting the animal, without feeling too crowded and disturbing the creature. But let's talk about cenotes, something magical that didn't even seem real, but the real plus? Do the experience completely in private, without other people disturbing the peace of the place, with their own spaces and times, with Fabio as a private guide who caught every detail and showed us hidden gems. MAGICAL!
