We really enjoyed our snowshoeing trip with Joanna as our guide. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and shared plenty of interesting information about the local area throughout the walk. The route was just under two miles through forest trails. The first section is uphill, so you do need a reasonable level of fitness, but it’s manageable and at a steady pace. Once higher up, there are some great hillside views. All equipment was provided, and everything was well organised. Although the snowshoeing portion finished slightly earlier than expected, Joanna made the effort to show us a couple of quirky local sights to round off the trip, including the giant troll chair and the Christmas House, which was a nice added touch. At the end, we were given hot chocolate and a biscuit, which was a welcome way to finish after being out in the snow. Overall, a well-run tour with good scenery and an informative guide. Would recommend.
