5.00Emily Danielle and Ginger were energetic and fun. The salmon was caught by Emily’s husband. The food was fun to prepare and delicious to eat. They shared their experiences and lives in Ketchikan. It was a wonderful way to experience true local Ketchikan and Alaska.

5.00My mom and I thoroughly enjoyed this cooking class! Emily was excellent! From communicating about the meetup place to the laid-back atmosphere of the class- this was one of the highlights of our entire Alaskan cruise experience. Emily was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. The location is perfect for cruisers, and the “classroom”/ kitchen is beautiful. Plus, the food was the best we ate on the whole trip. Looking forward to making the recipes again at home. 100% would take the class again and/or recommend to anyone!

5.00Emily, Danielle, and Ginger were just delightful! We met at the kitchen with four other folks from California. We started with an amazing Salmon dip that Emily made with some canned smoked white salmon. Then she taught us some tricks of the trade that were super simple but everyone overlooks. First we made a butterflied brown sugar baked salmon dish. Super delish and simple! Next we made wild Alaska Salmon patties with a Dilly sauce and a bang bang sauce. We ended up with a great lunch of Baked Salmon, Salmon patties, white rice, and a salad with an amazing Champagne vinaigrette. What a great lunch and a great experience! Highly recommended!

5.00Two personable and knowledgable hosts/instructors, seven participants (three couples and one solo). We learned how to butterfly a salmon fillet to promote even cooking during grilling/baking (though mine turned out a bit lopsided), make a few sauces, and we learned how to prepare salmon patties. We all enjoyed a good meal together once the cooking was complete. All in all one of the better cruise excursions.
Fall in love with salmon again.

5.00A lovely afternoon with great company. The salmon fish cakes recipe is a winner. Couldn’t believe something so simple could taste so good. Emily (our host) really knows her salmon. Picked up some great tips and will be confidently cooking more fish at home.

5.00Without a doubt this was my favorite part of our Alaskan cruise vacation. The food and hospitality were one of a kind! My mom and I felt like welcomed guests in someone’s home but then had the pleasure of helping to prepare the meal. If you’re thinking about booking, do it! You will not regret this experience!

5.00Great Time with Emily !!! Have caught lots of fish and it is always a good idea to know how to cook it. Here you get to cook it and have a great lunch afterwards. Great Views of the Tongass Narrows in Ketchikan and very close to many of the cruise ships.
