The Salnés Valley is where most of the Albariño cellars under the appellation of origin Rías Baixas are located and the wines here have very distinctive characteristics due to the influence of the Atlantic and their unique canopy growing system of setting the vines, known as "parras".

Juanjo leads this tour and can be adapted to your specific needs

The Albarino Wine Tour includes a visit to two wineries with different approaches to wine making, all of them belonging to the denomination of origin Rías Baixas.

So you will be able to not only see their facilities but also to talk to the winemakers directly, taste their wines, listen to their opinions and hear about their wine-making techniques that make their wines so different. Come and let us show you the Albariño of the Rías Baixas!

You will also be able to enjoy a typical lunch at a "furancho" (an at one time clandestine wine producers) with homemade wine and local served dishes

We had an excellent day with Juanjo. Loved the wineries he took us to. Very private one on one tours. He also took us to a fish auction at the end which was really cool to see! If we are back in Spain will definitely book with him again!

This was an amazing tour and we able to meet the wine makers, see the vineyards, and the process in making Albariño wines and of course enjoy tastings at each of them. Needless to say we purchased bottles from all of them. Would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely drive out from Vigo into the Albariño Wine Country. Juanjo was apologetic that since it was a Monday, our only available day, several of his usual stops were closed or unavailable. We visited two very different wineries and had good tours and tastings. Juanjo picked a lovely and delicious spot for lunch close to the waterfront. He also took us to the medieval village where the Annual Albariño Festival is held. Juanjo is knowledgeable in the history of the area and flexible, responding to interesting sites and opportunities that present along the way. It was a great day.
