The Church of Sant’Antonio, also known as the Trullo Church, was built in 1926, during a period in which Alberobello was undergoing a phase of modernization, but the design was strongly inspired by the tradition of the trulli. The church was built to serve the growing population of the town, which until then depended on the Mother Church of Alberobello, located in the upper part of the town.
I Trulli di Alberobello - World Heritage Site
Trulli are one of the first examples of insulating architecture. Their structure guarantees freshness during the summer and warmth in the winter, thanks to walls and roofs built dry with limestone blocks. Air chambers are created between the stones that regulate the internal temperature. The conical roof, built without supports, is composed of “chiancarelle” arranged in brackets in increasingly narrow circles, until they form a central opening.

Basic information that can be found on the internet. Good combination of text and location to have. Fluid and simple text. Little magic, mysterious stories, anecdotes and stories about the lives of the inhabitants.

We did a charming tour of Alberobello using an audio guide we downloaded from Viator, and honestly, it was wonderful. The guide is impeccably put together, super clear, and it explains everything with just the right amount of detail. It’s perfect for exploring the town in a couple of hours and getting a real feel for this amazing place.

We missed all the points, there was detailed information about each station. I highly recommend it. Alberobello itself is very worth seeing!

My first thought was….how can this digital guide support my trip to Alberobello. Then I‘ve tried this, because of low expenses and interests in new ways of tourist information. Result: A fantastic way to explore Alberobello on your own. The functionality is easy and complete. A map with POI. Fotos and explanations in text and audio, which you can start anyhow, anywhere you want…and in several languages. Absolutely usefull and easy to use. A 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ experience! Congrats to the people who had this idea.

Was a good self-directed option as you wander to understand the history behind the landmarks. Much better than just seeing and not understanding the significance and history. Easy to set your own path.
