4.00While it was a nice view of Alcatraz and the city at sunset, I don’t feel the “night cruise” was any more insightful. There were a few ranger talks at various places, but not engaging enough to have us stay and listen. I was expecting a guided tour where you could talk to and the guide and ask questions at times. The trip itself and the self paced audio guide was well worth the time. Be prepared for a long steep walk to the top (tram available for elderly or disabled) and bring a sturdy rain jacket if you want to ride on top of the open boat.

5.00It was pretty quick and easy to get on the ferry Headphones were given inside Alcatraz and Ferry ride they told you about history. It was cold and windy and very uphill (tram provided for mobility issues).
I will not recommend this service.
