Get a comprehensive look at San Francisco and learn a bit of city history along the way.
This tour consists of 2 parts and each lasts 3.5 to 4 hours.
During the city tour, we will make multiple stops.
You will see Union Square, Chinatown, Nob Hill, Financial District, Embarcadero, North Beach, Telegraph Hill, Fisherman's Wharf, Fort Mason, Marina, Palac of Fine Arts, Golden Gate Bridge, Haight Ashbury, Civic Center, Painted Ladies.
After the city tour, our guide will drop you at Alcatraz landing at least 30 minutes before your boat departure. You will visit one of the most famous landmarks in the US and enjoy the views of the city, the bay, and the bridges. You will learn the history of Alcatraz.
After the visit to Alcatraz, the boat will bring you back to Pier 33. You have to return to your hotel on your own.
ALCATRAZ TICKETS BOOKED AT THE LAST MINUTE ARE SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY.

3.00Whilst we loved the tour we had a few issues leading up to this. We booked a morning tour with the afternoon at Alcatraz but at around 9pm the evening before our trip we got a message to say that the day had been swapped around and we would be visiting Alcatraz in the morning. I appreciate the terms say they have the right to change things but we had to rearrange our plans to accommodate this. The tour operator was very good and did pay our transport costs to get to the ferry in the morning but things didn’t go smoothly for us. First of all we couldn’t get an Uber so used the tram, this dropped us a 20 minute walk away from the ferry, we had 25 minutes to get there. Thankfully we are fit enough to make it but it was tight. Secondly, we finished Alcatraz around 2 hours before the bus was due to collect us so we were left hanging around until pick up time, he was also 30 minutes late so lots of time wasted. The tour itself was fab and Mike was very knowledgeable but if they change the layout then we should be offered a choice of times to go to Alcatraz as we would have gone at least an hour later. We spoke to two other couples who also felt the same. As I say this is a great trip but would have been a better experience if the original itinerary was kept to.
