Really fun time. We tried many different types of local food and wine, everything was great. We were completely stuffed at the end, it’s a ton of food. The walk around the city during the tour was a nice way to explore the city and learn about the culture. Our guide was excellent. Very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend.

Our guide took us through the city streets to five destinations with a great mix of fingerfood, app’s, wine, port, local soft drinks, Portugal’s rich canned food offerings, and, of course, seafood and meat dishes. It ended with a homemade carob mousse on the dock of the river. The rich commentary of the City’s and country’s deep history and culture really gave a great context for the good eats we had, and a sightline into the people who make it and enjoy each other’s company over it. We always say that when we go to a new place, we want to smell your air, drink your river, eat your dirt and hear your stories. We got all that on this tour - obrigado!

The food selection was excellent and our guide was good fun and very friendly. It’s a great way to see and taste things you wouldn’t normally look for as a tourist. We also opted for the transport pick up in the vintage VW van which was good fun! Would recommend

Well what a fun night. Booked for Loulé food tour but everything on the evening we booked was closed due to a local event. We got changed to Portimão and weren’t disappointed. Paulo was an excellent tour guide full of interesting facts. The food we experienced was extremely tasty. The evening was rounded off with super tasty port and yummy cake before being escorted back to our car in a vintage VW van. A really enjoyable time and would highly recommend this company Happy Van. Looking forward to next year already!

We stayed at a beautiful boutique hotel called Villa Mariazinha in Praia da Rocha. Truly a 5 star experience with exceptional staff on site. The hotel is close to the beach and all the amazing restaurants on the main strip. We ate at several restaurants on the beach and on the strip and the food was affordable and delicious. We will most definitely return !

This tour was amazing, Paulo was so laid back and down to earth, great with our kids, full of lots of local knowledge about food wine, history of algarve with invaluable titbits of advice. Highly recommend. Plenty of food so make sure you go hungry! Thank you Paulo !!
