Enjoy a scenic journey on the Alishan Forest Railway, departing from Chiayi to Alishan Station or the other way round. Along the way, experience century-old railway engineering with switchbacks, loops, and zigzag tracks, winding through misty alpine forests and stunning mountain landscapes.
With this ticket, each passenger receives one complimentary snack voucher, allowing you to enjoy local treats at designated stops.
Important: Snack vouchers are valid only for the corresponding journey (outbound or return) and must be redeemed on the day of travel.

If trains are suspended due to force majeure (e.g., natural disasters) or operational decisions by the Alishan Forest Railway, refunds will be handled as follows: Eligible for refund: ．Trains officially canceled by the railway operator ．Tickets scheduled during the issuance of a Sea Typhoon Warning for Taiwan’s main island Refund details: ．The ticket fare will be fully refunded. ．The booking service fee (NTD 300 per ticket) is non-refundable.
Bookings can be made up to 60 days in advance. However, due to limited seating, we cannot guarantee availability on your preferred date. Availability is subject to the booking situation at the time of confirmation.
The ticket includes admission to the Alishan National Forest Recreation Area. For re-entry, obtain a re-entry stamp at the exit and present it upon return.
Once any included item or benefit has been redeemed or used, refunds or returns are not permitted.

In accordance with Taiwan’s Natural Disaster Office and School Suspension Regulations, local authorities may announce temporary closures or reopenings. The organizer reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel activities without prior notice for safety reasons.

All sales are final. No refund is available for cancellations.
What To Expect
Ticket Reservation • Passengers may book trains up to 60 days in advance. • Each departure offers only 23 reserved seats. • Please select your preferred date, ticket type, and number of passengers. Once the booking is confirmed, it is non-refundable. • Only non-Taiwanese passport holders are eligible, including the booking person and all passengers in the same reservation. On the Day of Use • Please make your own way to the departure station and show your ticket to the gate staff. • This is a reserved-seat ticket, please sit in your assigned seat only. • When the conductor checks tickets onboard, open the provided URL and show the QR code on your smartphone screen with internet connection. Screenshots, photos, or printed copies are invalid. • The ticket is valid only on the day of use. All items must be redeemed on the same day. Outbound Journey (Chiayi → Alishan) • The train departs from Chiayi station at 10:00am. • The train will make a brief stop at Fenqihu Station from 12:16pm to 1:21pm (65min). Guests can explore around the area and redeem their doughnut at 老街第一家 doughnut shop. • The train will arrive at Alishan station at 2:56pm. Return Journey (Alishan → Chiayi) • Please head to Alishan Sunrise Shop (阿里山日出商店) and redeem your sunrise mochi before boarding the train. • The train departs from Alishan station at 11:50am. • The train will arrive at Chiayi station at 3:45pm.

Sunrise Mochi *2: Please visit the counter at Alishan Sunrise Shop and present your e-ticket (QR code) to the staff. Hours: Mon–Sun 09:30–21:00
ONE WAY: Chiayi → Alishan
Fenqihu Doughnut *1: Visit Laojie Di Yi Jia (老街第一家) doughnut shop in person when the train stops at Fenqihu station, and present your voucher.
