Kato our guide was very nice and informative. Sue-San , our driver also added to the excursion. We were able to view Mt. Fugi. They went out of their way to help us buy brushes for painting Japanese style. The candy making was a very fun activity, and made easy by following Kana’z instructions. The trip was quite enjoyable.

As cruise ship passengers, we only had limited time in Shimizu port, and this tour was perfect for us. Our guides Kato & Koko, and drivers Su-San & Nao were all excellent. They took us to all the best view points & were very knowledgeable. Highly recommend this short tour for those in a similar position with limited time.

This was a top notch experience. Our guide and driver were both very knowledgeable, kind and helpful with the entire tour. We went to places that large tour buses couldn’t go and had mostly locals there. We also had fantastic weather with amazing shots of Mount Fuji!

A great small tour taking you to those hidden viewpoints that the larger groups don't go to (3 in total) followed by Wagashi (traditional Japanese sweet) making. Although Mt. Fuji was a little shy the day that we visited, we caught glimpses. Our guide, Kato and driver, Su-san were lovely and very engaging. Overall, a really enjoyable trip and one that I would recommend doing if you don't want to be out all day and want a more personalised experience.

This is an excellent short tour of around 4.5 hours. If you want to see the real Japan without the thong of tourists this is your for you. We were taken off the beaten track to see a fantastic view of Mt Fuji - where no tourist bus could ever reach. This is an authentic experience of seeing shrimp drying in the sun, walking through a green tea plantation against the backdrop of Mt Fuji and Shimizu city below. Then it was off to the backstreets to Wagashi making experience - a traditional Japanese sweet. My wife and I enjoyed this tour immensely. Kato san and his assistant Su-san were marvellous. We recommend this tour without hesitation. Thank you Kato and Su-san….from your grateful Aussies.
