  6 Star Resort. Just an absolute gem of a place. They only have six cabins, and they take care of everyone like you're royalty. It's unbelievable how great all of the staff are. The rooms are kick ass, the daytime views of breathtaking, supper is under the stars and will have you looking at the stars, the food is better than five star resorts. While eating we also could hear the elephants in the park. The game safari, their staff have this dialled in. They are well connected and will have you seeing everything that they can. We got to see the all of the key animals for Yala. We really enjoyed it, we felt that the price was very fair for everything that you get.

  A genuinely superb location and experience - worth every penny! Stayed here for a couple of nights having travelled extensively across Sri Lanka and it served as a slice of heaven and perfect retreat! From start to finish the staff could not have been more attentative and friendly - seeing to our every need, often before we even knew we had one, always with a smile. Nothing was too much and they worked tirelessly to make us comfortable. Food was fantastic throughout! The lodges were deluxe! Spacious and with fantastic 360 degree views, the bed was sublime and so comfortable - made it hard to get up for those early morning safari’s, plush great shower and and bath with lashings of hot water! Booked a package of Safaris with the lodge (2x half day and 1x full day), again we were not disappointed. The drivers knew the best locations to go and in compassion to other companies and visitors - we saw the three land based animals of the big Sri Lankan five countless times - Elephants, Leopards, Bears, plus Dear, endless birds and many more. Scenery was stunning and with packed lunches and plentiful stops it was a true safari experience! Cannot rate this hotel, their staff, their service and their activities more highly! • The highlight of Sri Lanka!

  This was easily the highlight of our entire trip in Sri Lanka. Every aspect of the place exceeded expectations, from the moment we walked through the door we were greeted with welcome drinks and friendly staff. I have never seen service quite like this place, and always with the biggest smile. The staff would literally come running if they thought they could help with something. They are a credit to their country and culture. The chefs cooked the most perfect meals, lobsters for lunch then a flamed BBQ over an open fire under the stars. The deck overlooks the forest canopy, making the whole place feel like a treetop experience. The air conditioned tents are fully immersed in the jungle, forming the perfect combination of raw nature and a luxury stay. The baths are set into the floor of the bedroom, a huge bathroom and a massive bed on a raised platform. They provide the best safari experience I’ve ever had and have the best safari car on the island - a modified Land Cruiser. They bring two staff members along who spot the finest details. We saw multiple leopards, sloth bears, tusked elephants, crocodiles and every other animal we could hope for. When they found out it was my birthday, the staff did a special trip to town to surprise me with a birthday cake. The best! Genuinely can’t recommend them enough. We will be back!

  

• An unforgettable 40th Birthday

  We booked a 2 night 3 day safari for my 40th Birthday and could not fault the service we received from each and every member of staff. Our driver Yasha and the guides that travelled with us were so knowledgable and their expertise made sure we spotted all the animals on our bucket list. The staff back at the accommodation were so attentive and catered to all our needs, providing separate meals for one of our children who has a special diet.   Our Yala evening and morning safari, Block 1 tour, with one night stay in their tented accommodations were incredible. Our Driver Yashara was outstanding, with exceptional knowledge of the park and its wildlife. He knew just where to go for the best wildlife sightings. Yashara was a lot of fun to spend our safari experience with. We had lots of laughs and smiles from ear to ear. He was very personable and kind, funny and exciting. Communication and organization between driver and camp site as well as between the team of drivers to locate specific types of wildlife was exceptional and allowed for a truly broad experience. Our camping experience with the tent was very enjoyable and quiet, with only the sounds of nature and the forest. (Tent was also air conditioned!) And the chef was incredible. The food was outstanding. For lunch we had the Sri Lankan rice and curry option and it was delicious. Evening meal was BBQ and also excellent. Our organizer, Mahesh, created a truly wonderful time for our Yala safari camping trip.

  The off-road driving experience was awesome.... Our driver Wishwa truly talented 🚘 We were very lucky to see 2 leopards. Mostly elephants can be seen around the park...🐘🐘🐘🐘 An attractive place to visit on a leisure day to enjoy the nature. Recommend the tour with Shehan Safaris...🌳🌴

• A camping trip worth cherishing

  My husband and I stayed at Shehan Safaris camp in Yala as one of our stays on our honeymoon. We were blown away by how luxurious a tent could be. The accommodation were some of the best and the service was exceptional. We went on 2 safaris with guide Dilan the most knowledgeable safari guide! The grounds were beautiful and we were treated so well. The food and drinks were plentiful and we loved living within the wildlife. I would rate the team effort of camp 5 stars. I would also like to extend my thank you to them and hope they will keep up their standard of service in years to come.
