What To Expect
Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang)
In the morning, your tour guide and private car with driver will come to meet you at your hotel lobby. The first place you will visit the Tiananmen Square which is the biggest city center square in the world. Moreover, along famous Chang'an Street, you will see The Great Hall of People, and The National Museum (used to be named Chinese history and revolution museum). In additional, the center of the square is the Chairman Mao’s Mausoleum.

5.00We had only a couple of days in Beijing so wanted to make sure we got a good tour to show us as much as possible. We went to Tiannamen Square, the Forbidden Palace, and the Great Wall, which included the gondola up and toboggan down. The tour also included a stop for lunch and a jade workshop and store. Our tour guide Lucy was fantastic, she had a wealth of information about all the sites and history and also knew all the best places for photo ops! Her tips and insights really made the experience that much better. There wasn’t a question she didn’t know the answer to. She even had us try the dumplings at lunch, which were great. The driver Zhou was also wonderful, got us comfortably and quickly from and to each location. I can’t imagine navigating this alone without a tour, and without all the insider knowledge.

5.005 stars! Excellent tour for someone who wants to see the best parts of Beijing in one day! Lucy, our amazing tour guide was so helpful, sweet, and accommodating. She was very helpful with all questions about the Great Wall and about Beijing, in general. She took the time to learn about all the guest on my tour, which I enjoyed. She also takes the best photo; I was able to get some great photos . She knew all the best spots and angles for photos. Highly recommend this tour!

5.00Lucy was a great tour guide. The whole tour was seamless. We were picked up from our hotel right on time and were transported to the sights. Every stop was explained so well and really made everything come alive. Definitely a must do while in Beijing. English speaking guide made things so easy.

5.00My husband and I had one full day in Beijing and we were absolutely thrilled we spent it doing this tour! Our guide Lucy was incredibly friendly, easy to understand, knowledgeable, and made navigating security checkpoints (and restrooms!) a breeze. Lucy took care of coordinating all entry fees and attraction tickets to make transitioning between stops seamless. Our driver Yang also provided door to door service between our hotel and each stop, and made us feel safe the entire trip. We started the tour early at 7:30 am to see Tiananmen square and the unbelievable Forbidden City in the morning before the crowds and learned so much from Lucy about the Emperor’s lives during various dynasties. We then drove to a delicious lunch at a Chinese buffet above an authentic Jade workshop and store before heading to the Great Wall. The views from the Great Wall were worth every step and we loved taking the Toboggan slide back down to the base. We even had time to shop for a beautiful hand-painted Christmas ornament (we try to find one in every country) and enjoyed an authentic tea ceremony tasting over 5 different kinds of tea and learning about the health benefits of each one at the base of the wall. We absolutely loved this experience and would highly recommend!
Quite pricy, but a once in a lifetime experience.

5.00I had a great time with the private tour and with my tour guide Maggie. In just one day I got to see all the important sights I wanted to see in China before I left. I only had 1 day in Beijing for an overlay so I’m really happy I got to do all of this. I originally did book a group but because there weren’t enough people I had to go privately. Normally I wouldn’t pay as much as I did, but considering I only had one day I figured why not. It was well worth it. All expenses were paid and all trips were booked beforehand. Mind you, China is a strict country so I had to show my passport everywhere. Keep that in mind. Police will check everything so don’t wear funny shirts or they might pick you out.

5.00My wife and I had one day to spend in Beijing for our honeymoon and we are so happy we chose to book this tour. A private tour guide (Lucy) and driver (Yang) made the whole experience so smooth! We were able to get all the major Beijing highlights (Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square) and the Great Wall done in one day. We never felt rushed, loved the lunch stop and learning about jade artwork, and we even had time for a quick tea ceremony to warm up after the Great Wall. We really appreciated Lucy being our photographer as well as tour guide, highly recommend!
