Jeff was knowledgeable and hilarious. We had a great time at the ruins, he let us go through the museum at our pace, then gave us a great overview of the site before letting us explore as much as we'd like. Full of facts the whole ride (there and back). He didn't have any issue stopping to get snacks at a local shop and letting the kids eat in the van. Some review for Belize tours had complaints about broken down vans and adding other groups to private tours, we did not have an issue with either. The van wasn't new, but it was clean and taken car of. We left promptly after meeting up outside the terminal.

We had such a fantastic experience on the Altun Ha Heritage Tour from Belize City! We actually booked last minute and ended up with our own private driver, Mark—which turned out to be the best surprise. Mark was amazing. Super friendly, easygoing, and incredibly knowledgeable. He made the whole drive enjoyable, shared lots of interesting insights about Belize, and really took his time to make sure we were comfortable and having a great experience. Once we arrived, we also met Gilroy, who lives there, and he was equally wonderful. He walked us through the history of Altun Ha in such a passionate and engaging way you could tell how much he loves the place. We learned so much, and it made the ruins come alive in a really special way. We ended up doing the afternoon tour, and honestly, it was the perfect choice. There were way fewer people, which gave us the chance to explore at our own pace, take great photos, and really soak in the atmosphere without feeling rushed or crowded. Altun Ha itself is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, full of history, and surrounded by nature. Climbing the temples and taking in the views was unforgettable. Overall, this tour exceeded our expectations. Between the personalized experience, the friendly and knowledgeable guides, and the quieter afternoon timing, it couldn’t have been better. Highly recommend this tour if you’re visiting Belize!

This was incredibly disappointing. I'm not sure how they got such a high overall review. To begin, the driver didn't arrive for 45 minutes. After being picked up, the driver was told by someone in the group that they had a ferry to catch on the return trip. After the arrival, we drove (rather quickly on a bumpy road) an hour to get to the ruins, where we had to pay (i was aware of this, so not complaining). We stayed at the ruins for about 40 minutes and as mentioned in previous reviews, though the cost of lunch was not included we not not given the option to stop anywhere to eat, due because of the delay in arrival and then the pressed time for the other party to get to their ferry....which they made with 5 minutes to spare. With respect, to the delay, the meeting point was at the municipal airport but when I messaged to see where in the airport the location was. I was told they could pick up at hotel because they were under impression there was a flight arrival....there wasn't. Needless to say, if you do (I would not) book with them, read the reviews and know that you are ONLY paying for transportation. Possibly not stopping at restaurants for food and if you are traveling with others and there is a ferry your trip could be cut short. I suggest, booking a private driver and DO NOT go thru viator for local attractions. It's not worth the cost or aggravation.

The ride to site takes over an hour on the Belizean roads, but it is worth it the trip. Once at the site, you spend about an hour with your guide.

We had an excellent tour to Altun Ha. Tour was guided by Albert, he is very knowledgeable we also learned so much about the country itself on the way to the location. We ended up having a private tour. Definitely recommend visiting in the afternoon as big masses from the cruise ships will already have left.

A really special visit to a very spiritual place. We had a wonderful guide whose name is Albert. So very knowledgeable. Very interesting and explained a lot about life in Belize and its History. We wish the tour could be longer so that we could spend more time with Albert..

Our tour guide, Albert, provided a lot of interesting information on our drive to the ruins. Once on site the informative tour continued and we took a stroll through the rain forest to see the pond that was used by the Mayans. Well worth the journey.
