What a beautiful hike! 3 and a half hours through the most beautiful nature! Very rewarding. Our guide Moises was fantastically friendly with lots of knowledge of the flora and fauna. My son J. studies biology and Moises and he had the most beautiful conversations about nature. Everything was perfectly arranged.

Our guide Xavier had an impressive knowledge of the plant and bird life in the park. Wonderful scenic views of the mountains and the many lakes from over 4000 meters elevation. We opted for the one hour hike due to our lack of conditioning for the more strenuous two hour hike, but it was nevertheless rich with views and biodiversity.

Moises was a great guide and good companion. He clearly has a love of his job which is infectious. He was also good to converse with about life in Ecuador having worked in New York.

Moises was an excellent tour guide very knowledgeable about the plants and history of the park. We went on the perfect loop (about 3hrs) and were able to explore various areas of the park and appreciate its wildness by inhabiting the space. Would recommend for a group as is fun experience to share :) Be aware the elevation impacts and adjust accordingly

We had a fantastic time at Cajas National Park with Sebastián as our guide. He was wonderful — extremely knowledgeable, answered all of our questions and did an amazing job pointing out the unique flora and sharing the parks history. He also spoke about Ecuadorian traditions and culture, which made the tour not only an excellent hike, but a cultural experience as well. Cajas National Park is absolutely beautiful, lunch was delicious (the trout was excellent!) and Sebastián even gave us great suggestions for other things to see and do in Cuenca and along the coast of Ecuador. Highly recommend this tour and especially Sebastián!

I had another fantastic tour today with Polylepis Tours. I had the privilege of hiking around Cajas National Park. It was time and money well spent! Eddie is very knowledgeable and really brings an education to tour visitors with the vegetation along with birds and wildlife. I highly recommend booking a tour rather than going here alone or in the company of others. Prepare to do plenty of hiking. Bring hiking shoes or really good quality sneakers along with snacks and water. I live in Colorado. Hiking The Andes is quite different but similar in other ways. I’m honored to say that I hiked The Andes! Again, I highly recommend this company. Having lunch at the end alongside a highway with gorgeous and delicious food was quite the bookend!

Wilson was a great guide, with good knowledge of the country, wildlife, the national park and the fauna that we passed (and football when it was brought up!). We were on a quiet trail away from the crowds and it was immensely peaceful. Would recommend
