In the morning you will enjoy a traditional Jordanian breakfast at one of the local restaurants. Visit the King Abdullah mosque and drive to the down town area to visit the ruins of the Amman Roman theatre, the Citadel and the Umayyad Palace. The tour includes visits to the Archaeological and Folklore Museums and a short walk through the souks and markets culminating in a visit to the Jordan Museum. you will explore the city further and proceed to the Rainbow Street, one of Amman's oldest suburbs with very interesting architecture from the 20th century. After lunch you will enjoy a short walk in the street with an option to visit the small antique and local shops. Transfer back to your hotel.

Al Balad – Downtown Amman

Our guide tooke us through the old city of Amman. We walked through the back "alleys" where the Amman people do their shopping...the food markets, the sewing and cloth market, the little eating establishments...it was wonderful! We want to thank our guide but do not have his name! Gave us umbrellas as it was raining! Our confirmation number was #1078992263 and our Booking Reference number was #1464749105... We met at the parking lot of a mosque that was under renovation...Need help in finding this great guide!!!!!!!!!

We worked with Esra on booking our tour out of Amman. Our trip was also to include a week in Israel, departing out of Tel Aviv to head home. Unfortunately, the war broke out shortly before we were to depart and had to cancel everything. So while we were unable to complete out trip, Esra was very professional, very helpful and prompt in responding to emails as we navigated the options and changes. I will definitely be reaching out to rebook when we can get back there!!!

You don’t want to do this without a guide. The levels of civilization must be explained. The museum on the citadel was our tour favorite with remains from all over Jordan. This is the place to begin to understand everything else in Jordan. The markets of vegetables and spices were one of our all time favorite experiences. Nour guide not only led us in sampling, he told us how to cook many different dishes. The auto museum is astounding and beautifully done with background film’s showing the cars in actual use.

I really enjoyed visiting both the historic sites and the Jordan Museum. I learned a lot about Jordan at the museum, which has some of the Dead Sea Scrolls! My guide was wonderful, both knowledgeable and considerate. I would absolutely recommend this tour as the best way to see Amman.
