This unique Alaskan experience is the only one of its kind offered in the Anchorage area. Get out and enjoy the beauty of Alaska! On a clear day we'll see as many as four mountain ranges in Southcentral Alaska, We'll spend our time on a small frozen lake in the Anchorage area. Using the latest electric ice auger, guests can help drill through anywhere between 6 inches to 3 feet thick ice. At times we'll see fish swimming below, either while looking through an 8-inch hole in the ice, or using technology to watch fish move below on sonar images on a depth finder. At times we may fish with jigs or spoons, at other times, hooks, bait and a bobber. We'll often see moose in the woods around town or at the edge of the lake. Bald eagles often watch from the trees nearby, looking for a free meal. Relax and enjoy the fishing, we'll take care of all the messy work and heavy lifting - except perhaps lifting the heaviest fish of the day from the water!

Booked this excursion as a solo traveler and I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience! Our guide Ryan was amazing and very knowledgeable in the field. He made sure I caught plenty of fish. 10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting Anchorage.

My 11 year old and I had an absolute BLAST! This was the one thing that my son asked to do during our AK trip, and from start to finish, Ryan made everything super easy and fun. We caught dinner for that night and were able to treat our friends to some rainbow trout! It was all around perfect. Thank you for such a great time!!

Ryan was very punctual and provided a great experience! He has a lot of knowledge on local fish and wildlife, we were able to trade stories back and forth all day. The tent he provides is heated and I was very comfortable for the duration of the tour. I was able to catch 4 good sized rainbow trout using his equipment. I also enjoyed getting to know him some and was very content with my excursion. For the price I paid, it was well worth the money. Thanks Ryan!

It was my first time fishing, and I had a blast! Ryan is really knowledgeable and accommodating with the group's needs. He was also super prepared and well equipped to ensure the whole group was able to catch fish. I was able to catch five small rainbow trout, which was super exciting! I especially liked the sonar to detect at what depth the fish were in the lake. I couldn't recommend it enough! It was a great experience!

Absolute must do when visiting Alaska! Experienced and inexperienced fishers alike! Ryan is second to none! Made wonderful lifelong memories with my dear friend, learned new information. Was greeted by an eagle and bid farewell by a moose - truly an experience that can’t be beat. Ryan is an amazing outdoorsman and all around salt of the earth kinda guy. Relaxed and accommodating to whatever vibe suits the group, great sense of humor - overall, the guy just makes sure folks have a wonderful day. Truly cannot recommend this experience enough!
