Good overall view of Anchorage, including the HS mascot mural. Good for a 1st time visitor. Decent commentary by our guide.

We booked a $100 tour for two at 3 p.m. Sept. 26. We arrived at the meeting site in plenty of time but the trolley didn't show. After about 20 minutes we called the company and they told us that they'd canceled the two-hour tour but there was one-hour tour at 4 p.m. tour we could take. The catch: We would have to pay for it separately and wait for a refund on the first tour, which we were told appear on our credit card bill within three weeks. Well, three weeks have passed with no refund issued, and when we called today we were told there was no record of this but they will "investigate." It will take up to 3-8 days to get a email confirming the investigation was conducted and IF it's determined a refund is due it will appear on the credit card account in another 7 days or so. Meanwhile, I will have to pay interest on a charge for a service we never received. I recommend you check at least 25 hours in advance to make sure your reservation isn't canceled by the company so you can protect yourself by canceling your tour yourself before the 24 hour deadline. By the way, we went on the 4 p.m. tour (paid cash, didn't have the credit card on me) and it was delightful. But the customer service is dreadful.

We had some time to kill in Anchorage so we jumped on the trolley downtown. It's a nice way to spend an hour and see parts of the town we wouldn't have otherwise. Our guide Alice was hilarious - I did not have a song about roadkill on my bingo card. It was an informative and enjoyable way to see the city.

We were glad we did this tour. The guide was very good! I did want it to be a little longer but what we did was great. One way to see the town.

This was an very good tour around the city of Anchorage, unfortunately the weather was against us as it was very went though this has to be expected as we were heading into the fall season. The staff were very welcoming when we arrived at the designated pick up for the tour which is next to the visitor information centre. The driver and tour guide was an Alaskan born and bred in the city and was very enthusiastic about the town. He gave an excellent commentary during the drive which was informative and funny at the same time. The trolley cars are comfortable and due to the weather the windows could become steamed up, but they had a solution to this each window had a small squeegee to clear the windows. This was a perfect trip as we had a few hours to kill before catching a flight back down to Vancouver. I have to also mention the hotdog stand that is at the pick up/drop off point this was highly recommended by locals, so we graded one each to have on our walk back to the hotel and we were not disappointed very tasty and a very American thing to eat as street food

Anchorage is a small town. Not much to see. The trolley tour is a decent experience. The driver/narrator is quite knowledgeable.
