We requested Christian for our second tour in Chili since he did such an outstanding job on our first one. And we are so happy we did. We feel like friends now and he is a gracious, kind and knowledgeable guide. If we ever had the opportunity again I would request him.

The views and the places in general we went to were amazing and unforgettable. I highly recommend doing this tour. The price though is a bit high as it is mainly a "taxi" service with some information from the guide and a wine tasting session. The guide was really nice, flexible, approachable.

We had a beautiful day for the long drive to Portillo. Julio was an excellent guide. The hotel and setting are beautiful. The restaurant does not offer a full menu until noon, but the wine list was excellent, and the food was good and reasonably priced. My only complaint would be concerning the winery. We received very little service and there was no one there. The setting, however, is beautiful at Errazariz. if I did the tour again, I would definitely pick one with more wineries. The company to their credit communicated well, and even though we were the only couple on the tour, they honored their commitment. we thank them for that.

I thought the trip would be different. I didn't realize that there would be so much driving. Once we arrived, we had great views of the lake and canyon. The winery was very nice. Just too much driving for this old guy's liking. The driver was courteous and professional

Our guide was great! He was informative and a very good driver. That matters because we spent 10 hours with him, the majority of which was riding in a mini van. The drive to Portillo was three hours without a rest stop. The road is two lane with lots of big tricks, 32 switchbacks, and magnificent views. The lake is beautiful and interesting, set among ski slopes where olympians train. We were there for an hour. We walked around for a bit then opted to only have a drink at the hotel and had lunch at a nice local restaurant part way down the mountain. The food was authentic Chilean and very good! Our next stop was 1.5 hours away at the Errazuriz winery. We tasted two wines, a Chardonnay and a Carmenere in a beautiful setting. The grounds and gardens are spectacular! We spent about an hour there then drove back to Santiago, which was almost 2 hours. We enjoyed the tour but would have liked to have known how much time we’d be in a car!

We stopped at the Vina Errazuriz winery for a wine tasting, and it was absolutely lovely there. We unfortunately did not get a tour of the winery, but the tasting of the two wines was very nice and relaxed in a beautiful setting. On the way up to the Laguna del Inca, the van overheated and we were stuck on the side of the road in the Andes mountains for 3 1/2 hours. I’m not sure what oversight the company has of the maintenance of the vans they use for transport. After a new van and driver came out to our location, we were able to continue our way up to Hotel Portillo for lunch (and the bathroom!). The views from the dining room were lovely, but the hotel was not serving the full famous Portillos menu, only the “fast food menu”, which was still decent since it included burgers, fries, and other warm sandwiches. On the way back, we made a brief stop to see the view of the switchbacks and then drove back to the hotel in Santiago.

A very enjoyable day exploring a couple of very special Chilean sights. The combination of Errazuriz Winery and Laguna del Inca (Portillo) gave us a fantastic taste of local touristic sights. Our guide John (sic) was engaging, enthusiastic, and passionate in his delivery of the tour and it was good to have a more personal experience.

This trip was incredible!! Mauricio is a fantastic guide, knowledgeable and personable. The vineyard we went to was truly stunning and the trip to the Inca lagoon was amazing. This is a don’t miss experience for sure! We loved it!
