What To Expect

Angkor Wat

The tour begins with a pre-dawn departure between 4:30 to 4:40 am depends on the time of year. Tuk Tuk and the guide pickup from your hotel for sunrise outside Angkor Wat or enter the great temple in darkness from the little-visited western side, and creep along hoary cloistered corridors past the longest stretch of bas-relief carvings in the world (note: this can be done after sunrise). Angkor Wat is a temple complex at Angkor, Cambodia, built for the king Suryavarman II in the early 12th century as his state temple and capital city. As the best-preserved temple at the site, it is the only one to have remained a significant religious centre since its foundation – first Hindu, dedicated to the god Vishnu, then Buddhist. It is the world's largest religious building and the temple is at the top of the high classical style of Khmer architecture.

  • Wonderful sunrise experience with San and Sem

Booked this tour last minute and it didn't disappoint. It was a wonderful experience with San as our tour guide and Sem as our tuk tuk driver. We did the sunrise tour - San took us to a perfect spot to watch the sunrise and even grabbed us a coffee while we waited. He was very knowledgeable throughout the tour and easy to talk to. Sem was always waiting with the tuk tuk and had cold water and cold herbal towels waiting for us, which was much appreciated. They took us to a nice café to get a bite and a cold drink before our last temple. I wouldn't hesitate to book again to see more if we are ever back.

  • Best Angkor Wat experience with tour guide Nak 🇰🇭

We had the BEST experience with our guide Nak and our Tuk Tuk driver today! From the first second before the tour even started until the end everything went perfectly - short communication beforehand, smooth pick up and drop off, perfect spots and timing to see and capture the best sunrise moments at Angkor Wat and explore the other temples. Nak is super knowledgeable and you can feel that he loves what he is doing - plus he is a former monk enabling him to provide more and deeper insights & perspectives! 🫶🏼 I highly recommend booking a tour and requesting Nak as your guide for an unforgettable experience 🙏

Hiring a private guide was the best decision for us. We are a retired couple and like to pause and rest at times. Also, some of the stairs were challenging for us, so our guide, Sath, was very helpful. The driver, Mr. Sim, always had cool wash cloths ready to cool us down and cold water available. A very pleasant and informative 7 hour day. Sath answered many questions and taught us a lot. He tailored the tour to our needs which we appreciated.

Sophy our guide and Mrs. Channy our Tuk Tuk driver were excellent. My friend and I travelled to Siem Reap for the first time, and we were a little skeptical about safety, but Sophy made sure we were comfortable and always stayed by us, provided great information about e the Temples. Sophy picked us up from our hotel on time and helped us with a great spot to sit at, to see the serene and beautiful Angkor Wat during the sunrise. He is an awesome guide and a great photographer! He took some really good pics of us. “Arkun” to both Sophy and Channy for making our visit to Angkor Wat a memorable one!!

  • Amazing Day at Angkor!

Our tour guide Sath and driver Mr Sim were the best guides today! We were picked up promptly in the morning and driven to get our entry tickets. Along the was Sath explained what would be seeing then found us the perfect spot along the old moat wall to wait for the sunrise. I would never have thought to sit there to get the most incredible views. We then went inside for more pictures. We asked to go to Ta Prohm where the trees grow up through the temples next while it was cooler and less crowded. Sath was able to explain the ongoing rebuilding that is happening there and was happy to show us many great photo spots. We were then taken for a rest stop and restaurant with great food! On to 2 or 3 more sites including the incredible Bayon complex. Mr Sim was always waiting and ready each time we were to move on with cold water and cold towels at the ready. We were able to setbour own pace and length of the day. I would highly recommend Sath and Mr Sim for your visit!

  • One of the best trips of my life

This place is more than you can imagine. I’ve been to many of the great places of the world ( Great Wall, Taj Mahal, Vatican etc), Angkor Wat is certainly on that level. I almost thought I would walk it without a guide. Honestly that would have been a mistake. I booked with a guide named Chau Touchsan —wow how lucky was I. The man is a scholar of ancient Buddhist and Hindu scriptures. A student of history but also super knowledgeable about the world. Fluent in English, fun, honestly a guy to sit down and have a beer with. He attends to every detail of your comfort. The food he directed me to was awesome. I suspect he is the best guide out there. When I come back I am using him again. This was worth every dollar I spent!

  • Book your tour with San and Paul

We had a very lovely day with our guide San. He is extremely proud of his country and was excited to share his knowledge with us. Both he and our driver, Paul, were very attentive. They made sure that we had water and took breaks when we needed. San was especially kind when he saw that I was getting a blister. He not only purchased some band aides for me, but also went out of his way to buy me a pair of flip flops. Plus, San is an incredible photographer!! He knew exactly where and how to take the best and most flattering pictures. I highly recommend booking a tour with San and Paul.
