This tour will take you all over the valley and visit over 5 villages located near or around Central Antigua. We will visit places like a local traditional textile museum, Jade Factory, a chocolate factory, and visit the first cathedral built in Central America in the year 1534. You will have many aerial views of the city, birds eye views of the volcanoes and a close encounter with local Mayan villagers that live around Antigua. You will drive through the cobblestone streets, paved roads, To finish the tour off, visit a local restaurant in the village of San Pedro El Panorama that serves guatemalan dishes.

What To Expect

The meeting point for the tour is at our office, here we sign your contract, give you your helmet and explain the atv.
San Juan del Obispo
We will stop at a local Chocolate Factory in this colorful little town at the foothills of the Agua Volcano, During this stop we will also visit a local wine shop which sells wines made out of a local fruit named “Nispero.”

5.00This was a great experience and well worth it. Our guide Sergio was fantastic! He is super chill and interesting. You can feel he really is genuine and not reading off a guide script presenting us with interesting stories. He took good care of us during the ATV excursions in Antigua. We really enjoyed Hobitenango and the time allowed to explore the area was perfect. We also really enjoyed the coffee tour . The demonstration was very entertaining and the speaker so charasmetic. The jade tour and learning our Mayan animal signs also was pretty cool

5.00Ethan was very professional, knowledgeable, respectful and kind. He explained step by step how to use the ATV and did not stop until he made sure I understood. He waited for me when I got distracted looking at nature or saying hola to people. Visiting the towns gave me the experience of how the Guatemala people and community life by their own traditions while integrating some pieces of the modern world. I learned about Coffee, Chocolate, Jade, traditional cuisine, traditional clothing and of course how to drive responsibly an ATV on the street. I will recommend this tour to everyone that comes to Guatemala. BTW, one of my dreams came true. Enjoy!!!!

5.00The village tour on quad bikes was fantastic!! It was such a great way to experience the local areas and villages. Our tour guide, Lester, was fantastic - informative, friendly and always made us feel safe. We were a group of 7 with 2 younger kids and the tour was perfect for all of us. All the stops were fun and informative , and we loved whizzing around the countryside in quads.

2.00The guide was good. The only stop that was hands on was the first stop, where we learned about chocolate making and products they made from the loquat fruits. That was interesting, but the rest of the stops seemed like a ploy to buy products. The jade factory wasnt really a stop- they explained how they distinguish jade from other stones and that was it. The stop for the tortillas was just free samples- nothing about how they actually make them. The last stop had more of an explanation on textiles, but was mostly time to shop. There was also an hr long stop at a restaurant, which we did not know about. Overall, this experience was a let down. We were hoping to have more hands on experience and learn about the culture, as opposed to just shopping trips, especially for the price. I would not recommend.

5.00We booked Simoon ATV Tours during our Guatemala trip, and it turned out to be the highlight of our adventure. The experience took us through villages around Antigua, with a memorable stop in Ciudad Vieja to visit a jade manufacturer and learn about traditional jade crafting, followed by a chocolate education center where we explored cacao production and tasting. The food was 1000% authentic and delicious. Danilo Jose Jose was phenomenal—very patient and passionate about his job. Our guide spoke excellent English, shared fascinating local insights, and kept the pace just right for our group. The route offered a perfect mix of excitement and scenery—lush forests, rolling hills, and stunning views of distant volcanoes. We paused at a lookout for photos and a quick break, which was a nice touch and gave us time to soak in the landscape. The overall experience felt well-organized, with a smooth check-in process and reliable transport to and from our hotel. Great value for money and a memorable way to see a different side of Guatemala. Tip: wear closed-toe shoes, bring water, sunscreen, and a small amount of cash for tips or snacks at breaks. Highly recommend booking with Simoon ATV Tours for an adrenaline-filled, scenic adventure.

5.00At first we were uncertain if this would be difficult for us. We are 60 something after all. We went with Eric. He was a wonderful guide. He made sure we were safe and took the time to make sure we had a good times. We Did many activities. I highly recommended this tour. Our other people accompanying our group were a bunch of young kids, we all had a good time. For being the rainy season, the weather was great.
